Hamer 5 (beaten by a double deflection and one on one not as calming as Alnwick)
    Wilson 6 (steady game)
Morrison 6.5 (extra half point for the goal)
Wood 6 ( poor clearance which led to their first goal otherwise ok)
Wiggins 7 (keeps driving forward to try and make something happen)
Pritchard 4 (now lacking in match fitness nowhere near the player last year)
Cousins 5 (worst 45 mins in 1st half I've seen from him, at fault for their second)
Jackson 6 (struggled in the conditions but gave his all second half)
Cook 5 (extra point for the corner from which Moro scored otherwise lightweight)
Church 4.5 (plenty of running little else)
Kermorgant 8,(without him we'd be in serious serious trouble)

Shocking first half, backwards, sideways & hoof; too many passengers, winger subs saved the day. Sorely missed Stephens no control or direction from CM most of the game.

    Green 7
    Harriott 7
  • Hamer 6
    Wilson 4
    Morrison 5
    Wood 5
    Wiggins 5
Pritchard 3 no doubt he will start ahead of Green on Saturday shocking
Cousins 4. Not just today but don't think his as good as everyone has banged on about.
    Jackson 5
Cook 4 not good enough. Makes church look strong.
    Church 4 rubbish
    Kermorgant 6.

  • Surprise surprise Colin is back. Never here when we win, always here to slag the management after a poor result.

    Hamer. 6
    Wilson. 6. MOM
    Morrison 5.5
    Wood. 5.5
    Wiggins 5
    Pritchard 3 (sad to say)

    Green n/a 6
    Harriott n/a 6
    Pigott n/a 5
  • Hamer - 5.5 Seemed to give up on first goal and not as steady as Alnwick has been. Kicking strangely off beam
Watson - after changing his name to Wilson he played better:-) 5.5
Morrison - 6 His goal earned him a reasonable mark but his defending was below par. Frequently beaten in the air
    Wood - 6
Wiggins - 5 ended up running into blind alleys far too often
Pritchard -2 Worst I have ever seen him play
Cousins -5.5. Dreadful first half but improved after the break
Jackson -6 One of the only ones to put in any effort in the first half
Cook - 4 apart from the corner he did nothing else
Church - 4 ran around a lot. Achieved nothing. Story of every game he plays it seems
kermorgant 5 awful in first half. Seemed not to try. Good volley and shows why he should be in the box not pissing about deep and on the wing.

That first half was unacceptable because there was no effort from the team. Harsh words at half-time had the desired effect but poor show that the players needed telling

    Green 8 MOM
  • Hamer 6 - don't think he had a chance with either goal, generally did what he needed to ok

    Wilson 6 - ok

Morrison 5.5 - distribution = swing a leg and boot long.

    Wood 5.5 - slow.

Wiggins 7 MOM, got down the wing ok.

Pritchard 4 Very poor, looked a non league player. Hope he recovers form cause i like the lad.

Cousins 3 Very poor and no excuses, he is a better player but looked like a young lad who thought he could cruise through a game against lower opposition. At fault for second goal. Should hopefully learn from the experience.

Jackson 6 For effort mainly, gave everything but is a long way off he pace. Legs have gone.

Cook 4 cack and not good enough. Best he did was getting out of the way of Wiggins when Wiggins ran down the wing.

Church 3 Effort is his only asset and he didn't show any tonight.

kermorgant 5.5 - good finish, waved his hands too much, only time i have seen a ref tell a player to get up and stop wasting time when his team is losing!

  • Hamer - 7 great save in second half
    Wilson - 6 Solid
Morrison - 7 Bullet header and some cool defending
    Wood - 6 Solid
Wiggins - 7 some nice runs down the wing
    Pritchard - 5 lightweight
Cousins - 6 at fault for second and well off the boil
Jackson - 7 decent performance in the middle
    Cook - 5 offered nothing
Church - 6 held the ball up well
kermorgant - 8 quality equaliser MOM
  • Hamer - 6

  • Hamer- 6 No chance with goals
Wilson- 6 Tired second half, guilty of ball watching at times
Morrison- 5 Dreadful first half, much better second, good goal
Wood- 6.5 Poor header for their first goal
Wiggins- 7 Lot's of good runs, lively
Pritchard- 4 So sad to witness his decline, needs to beef up.
Cousins-6 Worst game I've seen from him
Jackson - 6 Much too deep and ineffective
    Cook - 5 Poor
Church - 5.5 tried hard, achieved little
kermorgant- 7 Not his best game, but a great finish

Green n/a - 7 Changed the game, great crosses
Harriott n/a - 6.5 Changed the game, needs to play more
    Pigott n/a - 5.5

Hamer 5 Not sure he could have done much with either goal. First was a fluke
Wilson 6.5 One bad touch, be generally looked like he was from a higher division
Morrison 6 Scored an important goal - defending variable
Wood 5 Not at his best
Wiggins 6 Attacked often but delivery was generally poor
Pritchard 4 Not at his best
Cousins 5 Looked poor in the first half - improved
    Jackson 6 Improved
    Cook 5 Tried
Church 5 Lots of running, most headless chicken style
    Kermorgant 7, provide quality

Green 7.5 Had a real impact
Harriott 6.5 - 7 if he had got that winner
  • Now my results might seem harsh but I'm taking into account the fact we are playing at home against a team two leagues below us with 9 first team players (10 including Pritchard) starting.

Hamer 5.5 nothing he could do for both goals
    Wilson 5
Morrison 5.5 extra half for goal. Too many wayward passes or just hoof.
    Wood 5
Wiggins 6.5 seemed our only attacking threat before Green and Harriott came on.
Pritchard 3.5 I love Pritchard but he was too lightweight today.
Cousins 4 passing was very off. Bad day at the office. At fault for second.
Jackson 4.5 wasn't convinced. Was knackered very quickly. Not surprising playing on such a heavy pitch but both teams have to play on it.
Cook 6 impressed second half. Didn't hide. Didn't agree with the cheering of him being taken off (same for Pritchard). Extra half mark for assist too.
Church 5.5 a lot of effort. Didn't help by not being protected by the ref
kermorgant 5 extra half mark for the goal... But then take away half a mark for all the complaining. Just get on with it!!! Seemed very disinterested today compared to usual though. Great goal though.

    Green 8 changed the game
Harriott isn't out first choice left winger but good replacement
Pigott I can see why he was brought on which was good management

Ref was very very poor today. I'm all for letting the game flow as much as possible but some one the challenges (from both sides) would've been definite fouls in other games. I thought he lost his whistle.

    Jackson 6.5
    Cook 5
    Church 5.5
    Kermorgant 6
  • Hamer 6 Not much he could do with either goal, good save late on. Distribution still slow and poor. The speed could be due to lack of options/interest in front of him
Wilson 6 About the only player who seemed up for it first half. Faded a bit second, probably because when Pritchard went off he could stop fighting fires. Our most consistent player
Morrison 5 Awful 1st half, better 2nd, well taken goal. The pitch seems to really faze our CB's
Wood 5.5 As above, but got better as the game went on
Wiggins 6.5 For me MOM, second half he pushed and pushed. Slow at times, and chose wrong option a couple of others, hence the low mark
Pritchard 3 Never again. The only reason I can think of that he did not come off earlier was that, like me, CP forgot he was actually out there
Cousins 5 Improved 2nd half. An assist for their 2nd. Looked out of position and missing his mate Dale.
Jackson 5.5 Gave it a blast I will say that for the man.
    Cook 5 Lightweight
Church 4.5 Even more lightweight. Every time he had the ball near goal their keeper could of popped off for a fag
kermorgant 6 Won so many headers, most to no where to nobody. Real Yann goal, that's why I love you

Green n/a Shame he is n/a. Surprisingly he changed the game
    Harriott n/a Better than Cook
Pigott n/a Didn't get a chance to do much
  • Hamer 5
    Watson 4
    Morrison
    Wood 5
    Wiggins 5
    Pritchard 4
    Cousins 4
    Jackson 5
    Cook 4
    Church 5
    kermorgant 6
On the first half performance no would have got more than 4, second half improvement improved my opinionj. The first half one of the worst 45mins of football I have seen from aCharlton team, the looked like they had taken industrial action and where on a go slow.
  • Hamer - 6
    Wilson - 5.5
    Morrison - 6
    Wood - 6
    Wiggins - 6
    Pritchard - 4.5
    Cousins - 5
    Jackson - 6.5
    Cook - 5.5
    Church - 6
    kermorgant - 6
  • Hamer 6
Wilson 7 The odd error but one of very few who could hold his head up at ht, and had to play rb AND rm until BP went off.
Morrison 5 Thumping headed goal at last but looked very uneasy
Wood 6.5 Much more assured than his partner
Wiggins 6 Some poor distribution but always up and at 'em. Seemed to have the hump for long periods (possibly with his barber).
Pritchard 3 Just for trying. He's been an invaluable part of some dogged away results but just isn't a winger - More annoyed with the management for putting him there in a home cup game v opponents from 2 divisions below. Looked like a boy against men and gave us absolutely no threat at all, rendering our r wing redundant.
Cousins 5.5 Way off his best but prior to the glaring error he was at least trying to PASS the ball.
Jackson 6 Surprised to see him complete 90 mins on a pitch like that but always tried to get things going.
Cook 4 Just didn't cease his chance, making little impact. Shame as I've seen a few encouraging displays in the past.
Church 4 We all appreciate a trier but it's just not enough.
kermorgant 6 Another great volley, another load of moaning. He does get targeted but has to stop playing the victim every bloody week.

Green n/a Completely changed the game with energy and a string of dangerous crosses. If only he could do it consistently for 90 mins.
Harriott n/a Not as much impact as Green but still gave them plenty to think about.
Pigott n/a Nice to see him get on again but made little impression.
  • Hamer 6 No chance with goals, decent distribution on difficult pitch
Wilson 4 Poor in defence, lacked adventure, too often went backwards
Morrison 7 (MoM) Driving force at the back, good movement for headed goal at corner
    Wood 5 Solid, but slow
Wiggins 6.5 Poor first half but went for it in 2nd, especially after becoming annoyed by some tackles he got
    Pritchard 3 Dire
Cousins 4 Worst game for Charlton; at fault with their 2nd goal when dispossesed; quiet 2nd half, although he never went missing
Jackson 6 Poor start apart form a header, but then got into it to save his embarassment
Cook 6 Tried hard and involved; good delivery for Morrison's goal
    Church 4 Nothing on show
Kermorgant 6.5 Always involved, and wanted to win; lttle protection from referee

  • Pritch is having a dire season.
  • Hamer 6
    Wilson 7.5 MOM
    Morrison 6.5
    Wiggins 6
    Wood 5.5
    Pritchard 3
    Cousins 5
    Jackson 6
    Cook 5.5
    Church 4.5
    Kermorgant 6.5
  • Hamer 6 (could do nothing about the goals)
    Wilson 6
    Morrison 6
Wood 5 (could have headed it anywhere except directly to the player who crossed for their first)
    Wiggins 6.5
Pritchard 3 (worst performance by a charlton player all this season - at the very least. And I am a fan of his.)
Cousins 5 (not in the fame at all, hope he recovers quickly as he's important to the team shape/tactics.)
    Jackson 5 (didn't do much)
Cook 6 (put a shift in, beautiful delivery for the first goal)
Church 5 (Effort is good. Actual quality is much better. Striker needed ASAP.)
Kermorgant 6 (did bugger all 1st half, big improvement and a good goal 2nd half)

CP got the changes right for me, though I am surprised Pritch made it back out 2nd half.
  • As usual, no marks on the day, to try to make sense of the performance. Struggling to find positives, though.

Hamer - 4.5 An extra half for a very good save in the 2nd half. Criticism of the rest of the defence could partly be laid at his door. In a small crowd, his lack of communication was deafening. Flapped when he should have caught. Really does not command his box. Looks like he has no confidence left. Sad to see.

Wilson -6 How good may he have been if he had had some help. Hit some good crosses, and rarely out of position. Great energy on a heavy pitch.

Morro - 6 An extra half point for a thumping header. We know Morrison's distribution is poor, but tried to keep the mistakes down. See above comments regarding Hamer.

Wood - 6 At least showed commitment and determination. Won almost every header, and tried to pass the ball out. Made a bad mistake in the 1st half when trying to cut out a ball in front of who he was marking. Again, I think not helped by Hamer.

Wiggins - 6 I thought he had a mare in the 1st half. Didn't start the 2nd well, but got better as Oxford tired.

Pritchard - 4 I loathe scoring any Charlton player so badly, but Pritch was so far off the pace, physically and mentally, it was embarrassing. Another who's confidence looks shot. With some players who have a bad game, it is the game after which shows their potential and quality. This shows that the step up is something that may be too much for him.

Cousins - 5.5 Not his best performance by any means. Tried to pass the ball, on a pitch that did not favour silky passing. In the first half I think he struggled with the fact that Jacko seemed to be the deepest midfielder. At least his reaction at the end showed that he cared.

Jacko - 6 MOTM Showed a captain's performance. Tried to keep the ball ticking over, and tried to get forward. Seemed to be the one trying to put his foot in. After our 1st goal was te one trying to get the team going. An arm around the shoulder of JC at the end was just what was required.
I have just realised how man times I have used "try" above. Shows that Jacko is struggling with the pace of the game (or the pitch) at the moment.

Cook - 5 An extra half point for the assist for the 1st goal. I couldn't work out if he was playing as a winger, or a 3rd striker. At least this showed he was willing to get forward. He was very good in the League Cup game against Oxford, but this was a step backwards.

Church - 5.5 Tried to make things happen. Came deep sometimes to get the ball deep. Ran a great channel run onto a pass in the first half, got clear of the defence, took it wide, went to cross it, but no-one in the box. Not as bad as some say, IMO.

Yann - 5.5 In the 1st half, gave the impression he really didn't fancy another trip to the John Smith's Stadium. Marked as high as this, because he won a lot of flicks, and for the goal. We need the snarling, arrogant Yann in midweek FA Cup games like this, not this disinterested moaning pussy cat.
