How many tickets have we sold? Reckon we could get more than usual due to not playing a league game since Jan 1! Will be tough game but we're better away.
I'm very much looking forward to this one, albeit for reasons which are partly extraneous to the game itself. We are going up with Boro supporting friend on the 9 o'clock train and heading straight to their "Legends Lounge". This provides a very good three course lunch and all you can drink from midday pre-match and for an hour and a half afterwards. We had lunch there at the end of last season and it was excellent, with a Q and A with two of their old heroes, Stuart Boam ( a bargain £50,000 signing from Mansfield) and John Hickman (bought from Wednesday as a defender but converted to a prolific striker, who usually scored against us).
I can't see us bringing more than 400-500 (if that) and I think we'll be up against it. As observed earlier in the thread, Boro appear to be getting their act together, with four wins in the last five. Hopefully Solly and Stephens will be back, as they make a big difference, and we are generally better away than at home. We are, however, threadbare up front (heaven help us if Yann has a quiet game) and that hardly engenders a feeling of confidence.
I'll be very pleased to take anything from the game.
It's a shame they've made the ticket prices fairly high, furthest and one of the most expensive train journeys up there we'll have this season. I know clubs wont give a toss about things like that when setting ticket prices, but surely gonna put people off going
Will be a tough game and yes not expecting that many of us there but you never know what can happen in the championship. I reckon Michael Smith will do well. However many we get, we'll make some noise. It really is a ri[p off 17 quid for fans travelling all the way from London. i'm lucky being already in Newcastle so its easier and cheaper. COYR

Always a good day out, but Middlesbrough is an absolute shithole with some very very odd locals.
Pwoppa Charlton!
