Is it apossibilty that are new owner plans to merge the developement sides of the clubs he owns into one central international outfit. The way he is loaning out of favour players to Charlton from Liege is an indication he is thinking along those lines.
This would mean the closing of Charltons academy, and would cut the clubs running costs for this. Of course we would then loose a lot of our autonomy of player recruitment which be in the owners hands or that of a committee reporting to him.
This would explain his collecting of football clubs of different relative strengths.

But that is a big leap you are making IMO.
I can see the benefits of having an umbrella view and maybe one sporting director for all the clubs but so far it hasn't even been confirmed that the various clubs he owns will work as one unit or a confederacy.
Also the rules on youth development differ in each country as does the funding they attract.
But the uncertainty does show why it is important that we keep asking for answers to the questions about ownership, investment, business plans, the valley, the academy and ultimately RD's exit plan.
