The West Ham way, honestly.
Never seen them play anything but terrible football - refusing to sign any decent defenders for a few years under Redknapp and Roeder then getting relegated does not make you Barcelona.

The days of teams playing the 'West Ham' way with a couple of really good players to win games are gone. Anyone with a significant amount of talent will move to a bigger club and the outcome for any team that is not big, strong, disciplined and regimentally organised is relegation. If a manager went into West Ham and tried to play the free flowing, open, passing game with the talent they can recruit he'd be bottom of the league by Christmas and gone by the end of January.
It's all well and good saying that they want to have a packed stadium in two years time with cheap season tickets but fans won't come and watch a team playing the 'West Ham' way and losing almost every week. If they can sign ten world class players then they can play that way but if not they need to be solid, disciplined and tough to beat. If they have one flair player in their side that is a massive risk, if they have two then are mad!
Allardyce did a great job for them. They are not a big enough club to evolve into something else and stay up. I remember hearing Dowie, at the JFH press conference, saying that he wanted to emulate Curbishley but do it playing more attractive football and I thought then that we could be in real trouble.
Zola tried to do the same when Curbishley left West Ham and they went down.
I would love it if they were relegated and started at the 'Free Stadium' with half the seats empty and the rest bought cheaply with no TV money.4 -
Getting in the Europa League via 'fair play' may also prove to be a poisoned chalice for West Ham unless they can add some real depth and quality to their squad.0

Every time I read Fat Sam's blog in the Sub standard he was bemoaning the lack of clarity about his own future, sort of sniping at the porn bros. It was all about Sam rather than focusing on the spammers. Actually I think they will be a big threat to us at their new stadium and hope they chose some Herbert like pardew and go down.

As you can see already, he's been manager of Bolton AND Blackburn so should he take the Sunderland job I cant see him being too bothered by the Newcastle fans
