Great player. Too inconsistent and too much of an ego at the best of times though. Having said that I would take the rough with the smooth to have him back right now.
Who said we don't want to admit it. I thought we all admitted it
few people who sit near me seemed to think he was useless for us.
That's been pretty standard for me everywhere I've ever sat at the Valley. A few years ago, some foolbag a few rows behind me in the covered end screamed dogs abuse at David Whyte for a good five minutes. It was nonsense, vitriolic stupidity of the highest order - rendered even more foolish by the fact that the target of his said abuse was actually Paul Mortimer...
We do have far more than our fair share of bellends following us.

Too much of an ego? He was a very popular with the other players. It came down to our lack of cash, not his personality traits or ability.

Fair enough but you could see how negative he was by his body language and the shouts he gave to players at times. I'll never forget when he slapped his captain too!! (At villa I think it was)
Peterborough last season was heading for 0-0 then he scored a worldy, The amount of times this season we could of done with something like that when we did not look like scoring. yesterday was a prime example
He wanted to stay. The club offered him something, which was insulting about what he was worth, considering we got about five decent performances out of him all season, which he spent a large portion of injured.

Ha. Decent performances that won us games, and played a part in finishing higher. Could of done, with one of those on Saturday, wouldn't you agree?
Could HAVE done with one, yes. But roll the dice on that eh? 46 games - 5 decent performances. Odds are yesterday wouldn't have been one of them - even if he was fit. Just because he played well for Blackpool yesterday, doesn't mean he would have for us. A club that would currently appear not to have a pot to piss in can ill afford someone of Fuller's wages, injury record and lack of consistency.
Thanks Nam, not bad stats, every time Fuller got revved up and going for us he seemed to pick up an injury which was sad for him and us, not seen a player in a charlton shirt ghosting past the opposition for fun since Paolo & Claus.

We now have Marvin Sordell who simply cannot play.
I think he'd make a difference to our squad, but that's just me.
You seem to know his wage amount when he was here? Please enlighten me, what you believe his wages were...
5 in 20 (11 sub) for us last year
4 in 14 (0 sub) for Blackpool so far...
Not bad going, for a 34 year old sick note IMO.
If I remember he was a contender for mom for both Watford games, Ipswich away, and the magic against P'boro.
12 points gained?
