Incidentally, on the way back I listened to BBC London's commentary team gushing in praise for how well Powell is handling his players and particularly Cameron Stewart. Good to see outsiders recognising that this management lark is not just about winning every game regardless of the opposition or how good and big your squad is.

Cousins -6 On his first half performance, was probably going to score an 8, but tired badly in the 2nd half. Didn't hide though. And, Jordan, you keep shooting mate. One day, one of those is going to fly in. And we, as a team, don't hit enough shots.
Jackson - 6.5 Another captain's performance, including a superb assist. Like Jordan, tired badly, but probably struggled with 2 games in a week after a long spell out.
Kermogant - 6 Was excellent in the 1st half, but tired badly. After an hour, looked like he was playing in a deep sea diving suit. Needed the minutes, though. Deducted a half point for hitting a 60 yard back pass!
Church - 8 MOTM. For those who have criticised him, this is what a good channel runner can do, when he has decent service, and another man up front to take some of the pressure off. Watch his goal again. A good 1st touch to run through on the keeper, then wait, wait, wait until the keeper commits himself, then slides it past him. I was surprised he was taken off, rather than Yann, as he still looked full of running, and was giving the defence headaches all through the game.

Felt his goal the way he wait for the GK to move was better than the one scored by Stephens
Both Church and Stephens have to be MOTM for me, cant call it between them
The Ref - 10 - After the embarrassing ref we had against Leeds this one really did he job well, gave free-kicks to both sides when required, didnt stop the flow of the game and was largely invisible bar his bright yelllow top

Church - 8.5 The timing of his runs is superb (he's hardly ever offside). On another night, if his confidence was high, he could've had four. A constant pest and showed again a Fuller-like ability to cut into the area from the left. Lovely gentle finish for his goal.

Kermorgant -8 Does most of his good work outside the box but on his day he's a very creative player. We're so much better with him in the team.
Church - 8.5 The timing of his runs is superb (he's hardly ever offside). On another night, if his confidence was high, he could've had four. A constant pest and showed again a Fuller-like ability to cut into the area from the left. Lovely gentle finish for his goal.

Kermorgant - 6 Had a roll to play in sitting behind Church, held the ball up well and won most of his headers.
Church - 7 He should have had 4. At least he is getting the chances just wish he was deadlier in front of goal!
