Gotta be summit about the black death

From memory Black Death was 1665, I thought engineers where used to build the pyramids, but I am properly wrong on both counts as its that sort of day. Told you i was having an off day soapy ;-0 The word engineer wasn't invented until the early 14th century although "engineers jobs" where about way well before then.

    That was the steam engine.

The word "Engines" had been around for ages before that. What the Romans had were called war engines ie the siege towers or big catapults you see in the film Gladiator.

My guess is the the word "engineer" wasn't coined until the 14th century

This has some credence as people who worked on railways were called engineers.
