Gary Sprake......................... of Leeds!0

He made a clapping gesture after getting a yellow. Should of had a second for that.0
-
Yep. Ref bottled that one but he let them dictate his performance all afternoon.charltonkeston said:He made a clapping gesture after getting a yellow. Should of had a second for that.

Agree with all of that0

Reading Sue Parkes' comments on facebook, I think Chris Powell is going to take the very unusual step of marking the ref low enough to warrant an FA hearing.0

The ref was running up the park with his back to him at the time. Lino must have seen it though.charltonkeston said:He made a clapping gesture after getting a yellow. Should of had a second for that.

I tell you what, he wasn't. He was looking straight at him at first, and then he turned around and ran off with his back to him so he didn't have to deal with it. Bottled it.andynelson said:

Indeed. He did it as the ref was looking straight at him. As he was doing it the ref just turned and ran off. Pathetic.Off_it said:

Don't think the ref saw it, as he was running up the field. Not sure how the Lino didn't.ShootersHillGuru said:

I don't believe a keeper has ever been sent off for time waiting either , so you can see why they do it.0

We had a discussion about this a couple of years ago:Chippycafc said:A goalie being booked for time wasting in the first half....i have seen thousands of games in all parts of the world over the years and can never ever recall this incident....Leeds you should be ashamed.

Nothing's changed!

No nothings changed, i accept all teams timewaste but usually in the dying embers of the game not in the first half. But they did it with everything.0

Disgraceful mob - never seen so many players rolling about the pitch like they had been shot0

Don Revie his legacy is alive & well in 2013 !Chippycafc said:No nothings changed, i accept all teams timewaste but usually in the dying embers of the game not in the first half. But they did it with everything.

I recall the 'good old days' when keepers would try to mark the pitch, taking scratched out lines from each goal post out as far as the edge of the 18 yard box .. this was banned I don't know when .. I have seen at least two keepers in the days before yellow cards, have 'their name taken' before kick off for this offence0
-
Its somethig thats definetley on the increase. If i was a ref i would visit both dressing rooms before the game and warn both keepers that time wasting will result in yellow cards.I am sure a yellow card early in the game for a keeper would make them think twice.0

What would help is the goal kick to be taken the same side of the goal that the ball went out.0

Spot on, the person next to me said "the Ref didn't see it as he had turned his back by then" no he hadn't!Off_it said:

Hardly. Players always mouth off to referees after being booked, Morrison (whether you agree with the booking or not) afterwards went completely ape, and showed clear dissent far worse than a bit of minor sarcastic clapping.charltonkeston said:He made a clapping gesture after getting a yellow. That's what did for Tim Flowers!Lincsaddick said:I recall the 'good old days' when keepers would try to mark the pitch, taking scratched out lines from each goal post out as far as the edge of the 18 yard box .. this was banned I don't know when .. Actually thinking about it most keepers are happy to take a yellow particularly late on. Why not bring in a law that allows the ref to give a corner if a certain amount of time elapses before the kick is taken (once of course keeper has control of ball).
Might be daft idea, but things like deliberate time wasting make my blood boil, it's just cheating.0
