Thinking of driving to this one, anyone been before know what parking is like?
a few years back parked in a local pub which was a fiver i think and for the freebie day trippers one parked in a local school .. it wont be busy but i don't think street parking is that easy
blackburn 17.35 > preston 19.01 > london euston 21.38
we paid around 27 quid each with railcards.
with reference to this can anyone reccomend any good pubs to visit at any of these stations, as we have time to kill??
Down the stairs at Stockport and turn left and left again. Up to the top of the path running parallel to the station then turn left. In front of you is a pub called The Armoury, belting little boozer, locals quite friendly. For Preston, at the top of the approach on the main road is a boozer opposite, name escapes but has SKY and pretty good.

If it's not I think we will have a few beers in Manchester and get a train a bit later.
