What is it about charlton that makes it special for you?
I have a story that typifies CAFC for me, and is basically about how close the players are to the fans.
Last season my younger brother was invited to a junior addicks question and answer session at The Valley with Danny Haynes. It was directly after his screamer v Leicester away.
Now they are kids so the session soon turned in to a conversation about FIFA. I used to have the odd game of it and to cut a long story short at the end of the session he gave me his PlayStation username thing and he said come online on FIFA at 8pm.
I expected to be blown out to be honest but at that night at 8 o'clock sharp I spent the next hour and a half playing FIFA with Danny Haynes. He mullered me quite a few times haha! I did pull of one victory though. I was Charlton he was Palace, I scored a penalty in the last few minutes, scored by ........ Danny Haynes!
I sit in the north lower and during the warm up of every game he used to have a chat with me ... (and remind me how many times he beat me!)
It's a moment/situation that made me think "yeah, this is why CAFC is for me".
I only say this now as I messaged congratulating him on scoring for Notts and he replied. "Thnx mate wish it was for charlton tho, gutted not to still b there. How r u mate?"
Just made me think even the players love it here, very proud of the club that we have that effect on people. I've just introduced a mate to charlton, he was a gooner. I've taken him to two games, Watford and Forest, and to say he is hooked is an understatement!
I feel like we need this thread in times of what seems to be a slow drip of self destruct by the board, to remind people we are still CAFC and we are still a team and club to be proud of.

Before I was made redundant I used to have to travel to Stoke a couple of days per week and worked with a number of Stoke fans, they themselves said that they miss being in the Championship because there is more communication between the fans and players (i.e. now Stoke have changed how the players get into the ground so they're not bothered by the fans)
One of the reasons I used to love seeing us in League One was the fact that you'd go to away games and John Sullivan / Ben Hamer whilst resting during their warm up would come and have a quick chat with the fans...
People might say its a lack of ambition in me but I'd rather see Charlton remain a (comfortable) Championship club than return to the Premier League, would much rather the above continue than see us getting thrashed by Man City / Arsenal every week just to have the privilege to see players like Kompany and Eto'o etc...
