After watching Cousins, Gower and Stephens proves that perhaps Jackson and Pritchard are the problem and not the solution. Powell always picks them when he can and that proves the problem when trying to fit a system to suit them.
Jackson to be fair legs have gone at this level and Pritchard is just not good enough, lets hope Powell don't let himself down on Saturday and change the midfield cause for once this season they looked good.

Jackson gets in our first 11 when fit for me, in place of Gower last night.
But after last night would it be fair to drop any of the midfielders?!
But if there are better players in our team, play them.
Cousins does look to add a lot more than Pritchard, but Pritchard is in no way a problem. Has had some great games for us.
Just as the Leicester game didn't prove Gower and Sordell were the problem, last night doesn't prove Jackson and Pritchard are.
I thought he (cousins) was the back of the diamond not the front (I could be wrong), for me the front of that formation is suited to Jackson which is where Callum Harriott was playing. You'd lose the pace of Harriott if you put Jackson in there but obviously you gain the experience and eye for a goal. Cameron Stewart looks as if he could play that role or on the flank of the diamond too.
I certainly don't think Jackson is past it or isn't good enough for this level. However having said that, there are weaknesses in his game that need covering namely his lack of pace, mostly he reads the game well enough to overcome that. His strength, eye for goal positional sense and leadership more than make up for any drawbacks and is a starter if fit in my book.
When it comes to Pritchard that's a different kettle of fish, Pritchard has the stamina to go on and on and on and on ...... but, does that make him good enough? On last nights showing not good enough to knock young Cousins out of the team.
It's a difficult decision as Jackson is very good, and we've relied upon his goals before - so personally I think he's critical at this time. As for Pritchard, he has an engine and he really tries... but I saw those same attributes in Cousins yesterday, and I also saw a better first touch and a lot of talent too.
Stephens is too inconsistent to say he'll be a starter every match though, let's see him perform to that level a few more times. Although I do feel sorry for Harriot having lost his place of late, I'm hoping he can win it back.
Take note that we have won one game this season and Pritchard and Jackson played. Pritchard was also CL MOTM.
