Harry Lennon

In the first team squad for Watford game tomorrow! #buzzing

Harry Lennons tweet from this evening wonder if that means Powell has told him he will play a part or if he is just going along with the team
If he does play who would he replace

  • If Cort is injured as rumoured then he might be replacing Wood on the bench. But he might be in the 20 players travelling. YK and DD said that Powell names the starting 11 on Friday but the subs just before kick off.
  • Centre back, maybe Cort or wood is injured?
  • I expect he will be just part of the travelling squad & don't even think he will be on the bench.
  • Would be very interesting if he did play and if cousins started as well we would probably have 5 out of the 11 have come through the academy Solly,Cousins,Wilson,Harriott, and now Lennon
  • Bench or just the squad...good for him, nice to see it means so much to him.

he won't know until tomorrow but agree that it is good to see that he's pleased. Good luck to him.

  • Good news . Got a load of youth doing the business .
  • well done and good luck to the lad if he is included
  • his granddad John would be very proud

  • on Tuesday Cort did not train due to a knee injury, guess he is not being risked tomorrow
  • Kinda a givaway that we'll probably be playing 3-5-2 again-need for centre backs, looked a good fromation though against leicester
  • Think we'll be a striker short tomorrow as well.

    Why's that?
  • Well the choice presumably is from Yann, Church, Sordell and Pigott.

What you heard about Kerm? You keep hinting at it.

  • He is left footed isn't he ?

Interesting if he has jumped ahead of Feely and possibly Fox.

Fox will be cover for Wiggins and Evina and i believe Feely still out on loan not sure if he has come back yet

Feely's still out on loan isn't he? I would think he'd be given the nod if still about.

  • Feely is back, played in the u21 game the other day. Doesn't look like Carlisle were impressed, they didn't extend his loan and signed another CB on loan.

Lennon being in the squad doesn't mean Feely isn't.

Congrats to Harry Lennon being picked... I'm guessing its a team of 20-22 players who are in the first team on matchday with four as backup in case of injuries during the warm-ups.

Regardless if he's on the bench or one of those in backup... Take a bow son!!
  • Lennon is left footed, he started as a left back.

If Cort is out, as expected, and with Wood just coming back from injury, they are probably concerned about Wood lasting 90 minutes.

  • I wonder whether Harry will travel north to Hudders ?

The question I posed earlier about Kevin Feely and Morgan Fox is because like Harry both are left footed although Fox has been a left back in the past I noticed he has played in the centre with Lennon on a few occasions. With the signing of yet another young left sided defender Kadel Daniel I wondered whether Morgan will be moved inside more often.

In the few occasions I have seen the U18's/U21's I have been impressed with all three and I hope that Kevin Feely's shaky loan spell at Carlisle will not dent his confidence too much.

If we continue to play 3 5 1 then having other left footed options to Richard Wood will be very useful and you can see why the likes of Ajayi and Mambo were released to ensure that we can develop these three fine young left footed players.

  • Answering my own question I notice Harry is not in the U21 squad today but Kevin Feely and Morgan Fox are,so I suspect he has travelled.
  • So about 7 weeks after I first posted this he gets his chance on the bench Good luck to him a great player for the future
  • Well done Harry, it just shows how short of players we are.

Missing 2 centre halfs out of 4, to have an 18 year old as 5th choice is ok, all the times I have seen him he has impressed.

  • Is Feely injured or has Lennon pushed himself into becoming 5th choice?
