Both clubs are out of the Capital One cup, why not reschedule the game for that night?

Too late, the date of trhe next round is 24/25 September. I would have thought they could have arranged it for that, but the club my think they will have to rebuild the Valley after the visit of Millwall, also the fixture list does not allow for FA Cup rounds after the 3rd round, so if we proceed in the cup the league games will be postponed, plus any games postponed for bad weather, we could end up with a fixture congestion.

The next League Cup round after that is due 29/30 October.

We're playing Wigan at home on Sunday 27th so assume the next opportunity would be Weds 30th October.
