Can someone ask Kermy about his contract? I read somewhere that hes contract is up in 2014 but there is a 1 year option for an extension. Is it automatic based on appearances? Does Dervite have something similar?
I'd love to attend but its a 375 mile round trip from where I live!
Decent turn out considering a load of over paid premiership tarts were on thje telly but the addicks of Eltham need to get behind their group if they want it to continue.
No one wants to know what was said so won't bother with a write up.
A big thankyou to the people involved for organising this , had a fantastic evening , much better than watching England by the sound of it listening to the radio on the way home.
Dorian came across as a really funny fella with a really good sense of humour , well spoken & very professional & committed, Yann , well what can i say , he had a leather jacket on when he came in, i wasn't sure if he'd left his motorbike outside , but i can see why we call him 'The Kerminator'.
I got to have a one to one chat with both guys afterwards and have a few pics , and asked them to impress upon the other lads at Charlton how important it was for us to beat Millwall , and what it meant to us fans, particularly the fact my window cleaner was a Millwall fan and the fact i hadn't seen us beat them for years.
Yann comes across as a real family guy , who loves being at Charlton , and loves the warmth shown to him by the Charlton fans , but he does want to stay for longer , so please sign him up Charlton board!
I told him i think he can score 20 goals this season with the right service , and also told Dorian one of our centre halves should be getting 5-6 goals a season , particularly from corners , and why not him.
Good to meet up with Nathan , Ken & Ben , bit gutted i didn't win the raffle , but hey ho you can't have it all :-0
Good night and Decent turn out despite the England game being on tv. Both excellent guests.
Yann & Dorian both understand the importance of local derby's and want to do well in these games, The Team are looking forward to Watford and The Millwall game.
Yann always wants to do well against Leicester and very happy to get the win .Also understands the importance of the Millwall game to the fans.
Dorian spoke about adding more goals to his game, he also mentioned that the toughest player he has come across is Michael smith at Brighton.
Yann Also undecided what he might do after his career in football.
Dorian was asked about Gareth Bale as they were at Tottenham at the same time and he is not surprised about his move To Spain. Talked about how good he was in training, neither really had a view on the transfer fee involved.
Salim Kerkar is looking for a deal.
Bwp had a good understanding with Yann and both are still in touch.
YK and DD said that Ashley is completely wrong as the UK got far more from the Marshall Plan that France and France had far more divisions in the field through out WWI. Recent successful military action in Mali shows that French international intervention is better thought out and not just following the US.
Unfortunately people then wanted to talk about football so DD and YK never finished their arguement about the relationship between Verlaine and Rimbaud.
Both live in Greenwich and love it. YK said that he and his wife and child love the park and area as a whole. They like London as a cosmopolitian city that has everything you want. For DD it is only just over an hour to his family and friends in Lille.
CP had seen DD play against Leicester while he was at Sounthend.
Sparrows Lane pitches are very good. The gym could be bigger with more machines but it is what players do not equipment that matters according to DD
YK said "half and half" about want the Donny game called off at HT Part we can do this against 10 men and half we're 3 - 1 down and it could be hard so maybe better to start again.
YK on Hartlepool goal "I know that the question is" interrupting the questioner. "I meant it but I got lucky" "Was trying to put the ball back into the area but it was goal of the season".
CP? YK - Good man, honest and passionate, a coach but still knows what it is to be a player. If a weakness it is allowable as not so experienced but can see him and team improving. DD agreed.
Long ball v short passing DD said we and he want to play the ball out but in Championship many teams play a high pressure game high up the pitch so don't always have time. Sometimes you "have to manage the game" but not taking the risk of turning over possession in the final third. YK prefers to recieve ball on the floor but sometimes you have to go long.
On Home v away form DD and YK both said started badly at home last season and this hit confidence. YK said away we have more space and we can counter attack which suited us. Better v top teams at home as they come at us, other leave less space.
DD likes 3- 5 - 2. Prefers this and playing at the back but doesn't mind holding centre mid.
Leicester pen - didn't want to take but was told to. Legs were shaking. Is our pen taker now but won't chip again.
Best fans? In France not so passionate, Leicester fans were not not to YK so easy for YK to say Charlton best fans for him.
Know about Millwall. DD said we always give 100% but know we have to try even harder v them. YK said "I can't finish my career without beating them"
Best players played against while at Charlton YK - Woodgate very good, doesn't just kick me DD Smith at Brighton
YK likes a pacy striker alongside him. doesn't think 4 -5- 1 suits him. partner doesn't have to be usain bolt. BWP was best partner. "good lad, not selfish, gave my best to give him good balls, deserved more games"
Miss Kerker, Waggy and Taylor. All good guys they both would have liked to have stayed but "we can't pick team". DD spoke to SK this week. Trialing at French clubs. YK rang Waggy to congratulate him on his new contract.
YK not entirely happy with contract. There is an option but depends on him making a number (unstated) of starts. If injured won't make enough starts. Would like the situation settled ASAP. Wants security. DD OK with one year as has problems before with long deals at other clubs.
Post career - YK setting up a Goals type five a side business in Vannes. Doesn't have the "patience" to be a coach also realises he's spent too long away from his family. DD Doesn't know yet but maybe sports journalism (likes lots of sport) or a restaurant.
Both said Mark Gower and Dillon Philips at Bromley Addicks on Thursday 19 September would be an excellent evening and you should definitely attend
Well done all the EA committee. If you are local then get along and support your local supporters' group. Use it or lose it.
Well said and well put Henry , i'd forgotten half of it! yeah the bit about the fact Yann couldn't finish his Charlton career without a win against Millwall was brilliant, got a lot of respect for this fella after what he's been through as a kid having treatment for Leukemia at 14 , coming through it and making the most of his time as a pro, you can see it means more to him in the warm ups with his practicing of Freekicks and volleys , he's had to work darn hard to get to where is he , and good luck to the fella, i lost a class mate and good friend to Leukemia when i was a teenager , which really upset and affected me , you don't expect to lose mates at that age , quite apt that a stray shot at Sheffield United away hit my son , after what he's been through , Yann has been an inspiration for him and working hard at his studies.
Thanks Henry. Doesn't surprise me at all about the character of the boys...it seems ingrained in all our players and their management. Hope Yann gets his wish, for the first time of a few to come, on the 21st!!

Yann mentioned that although Leicester had spent lots of money to get Promoted it shows that it doesn't always work, he is much happier at Charlton.
thanks Badger, Nath and MIA for your feedback
