Thought Sordell did ok, was better than kermy anyway.
So at the moment the answer is yes
  • Leaburn was player of the year in 1994 , answer to your question = yes
  • Yes you are
  • Sordell was so isolated up front it was criminal. Felt sorry for him.
  • I actually meant I thought he looked like him.......but I understand there are some stressed people out there tonight!!

    Yes you are

  • Are you referring to Sordell or Kerms ? Either way I think the answer is yes, you are.

So you think Sordell looks like Leaburn ?
  • Yes.......was only joking.......mental note - never start a thread after a loss!!

For the record Leaburn is in my favourite 11!!

  • Carlo and Crooksie were in the press gantry in frony of me today. Either could have offered us more than our front two did today...
  • Hard for any striker to do well, when the service is poor!

I think Leaburn would have been useful for us today with his physical presence and hold up play. Harsh to judge Sordell when he is so new to the club and service was so poor though
  • First time I have seen Sordell, and the guy had little to work on in fairness, but I was not impressed.
Hate to be so critical of a player after 1 showing, any player does need time. Though that Church looked more up for it, and was surprissed it took Powell such a time to introduce him after the midweek game. Leaburn was far from my favourite player, and cannot see Sordell being that type of player anyway.

Harsh to judge Sordell on yesterday.

The service from midfield was abysmal and only a striker like young Kevin Lisbie, who has (had) the ability to create for himself, might have flourished.

Young Kev has started the season well incidentally as a digression. Nice assist yesterday for Mooney who himself scored twice.

It wasn't just yesterday though - he played pretty much the same way against Bournemouth. I fear that he either (a) doesn't really want to be here, or (b) is struggling to fit into our way of playing.

I won't go to over the top in my criticism though as not many of our players have covered themselves in glory in the 180 minutes of league football and that extends to some of last years more reliable guys.
  • Main post, no Leaburn wasn't up front, Leaburn was better than that, and taller.
  • Sordell missed a golden chance in a similar vein to Leaburn's many failings. Second half, the ball was crossed from the left, Sordell was on the six-yard line and simply needed to head it firmly: certain goal. But he glanced it wide....
  • Why are so many of you defending Sordell's shameful performance on Saturday?
I've given myself 2 days to mull it over but there are no excuses for his daylight robbery of every penny of his wages to date. Always on his heals - is that because he's as thick as pig5h!t or simply bone idle? Always looking to avoid contact with defenders, never got his feet off the ground - inept? bad eyesight? or just avoiding injury at all costs. The best description of his displays is "typical loan player" - if I'd known Leaburn was on site I'd have loaned him my boots and bought him a kit with my own money rather than put up with Sordell's insulting calumny one minute longer.
He could be an imposter but we need rid - Pigott on one leg is worth more
  • No service I accept. But bloody hell could he not look for the ball or even run?
