Saturday September 28th seems like a lifetime away but I was wondering if anyone had taken a look at trains for the Burnley away game. Best I can see is £55, am I missing any tips or tricks here ?

Elfsborg is the man for these sort of things i think.0

get a megabus to manchester £7 return one person, then get train from there,#
or faster option would be, Megabus to birm, train from there to manchester with virgin would be cheaper.0 -
Megabus to birm is £10 return, train to Manchester return £20 , £30 takes 3 hours 50 mins all together,
usually that how i travel to games because its cheaper, do half on megabus, then do the rest on train so i can stretch my legs : P im lanky unfortunately last season when we played bolton, i saved £50 on travel fares by doing this, and my mate who took the train only got to the ground 38 minutes before me, even though i did leave 15 mins earlier, so sake of pretty much 45mins i saved myself £50, would recommend it0 -
lowest price i can see at present is 32-00 return leaving Euston 7-30 returning Burnley Manchester road 17-57 via Preston. This can be booked on Trainline.0

Try searching the journey via Leeds, total journey may be slightly longer but a lot cheaper.0
-
It also might be worth splitting the train tickets such as:
London >> Brum
Brum >> Preston
Preston >> Burnley0 -
Cheers chaps, I'll have a look at those options0
