  • I always thought he looked dangerous. Sign him up
  • now having a trial with our friends down the road,he must be taking a huge drop in wages to go to small wall
  • No worries... Dont really want him back at the Valley as I like this Youth policy too much

Great player for us and we missed him for 95% of last season but probably a bit too old now..

This. Maybe last year was a season too far for him .

  • You can place your hard on cash on him scoring the winner at the Valley when they come to town
  • Fuller vs Bikey is a match-up I'd like to see.
  • Wouldn't like to see him join them - very good player.
  • Good news, suggests that smellwall are just trying to tread water.

Blackpool, Smellwall and one other to go down?

Didn't he only come off the bench at Blackpool last May & failed to impress when he did ?

  • If you could get 30 full games a season, he'd enhance any Championship side. Surprised Pullis wouldn't gamble on him as a cheap wild card sub.

  • Good player but he didn't exactly pull up any trees for us or Blackpool.
  • Another year older and more injury prone.

    No thanks.
  • Not for me. Having him back would stir up too many memories of the 'club in decline under TJ and Slater' era for me. The fact we couldn't sign him up again brought home the realisation that the club was in dire straits at that time. Never go back. Onwards and upwards.
  • Or if you want to look on the brightside, not signing Fuller again freed up the cash for Church :-)

Why, does the roof need repairing?

Played a lot games at the start but never full games. Started playing 90 mins after they lost a striker or two to injury, he couldn't cope and got injured himself. They were hugely impressed with them, thought he was brilliant.
  • I'd swap him for church in a heartbeat

    Your posts are hilarious.
  • Bring back Yann, all is forgiven.

Well the one season he was with us we finished 9th in the Championship, so...
  • would be a great option off the bench and an older head ala Hughes around the dressing room.

No re-sale value and has injury problems so is a risk but if the wages aren't silly then maybe
  • All depends on the medical reports as to whether he's worth a shout... And whether Peeters and Duchatelet think he will fit in with the rest of the new signings - after all with Buyens, Vetokele, Gudmundsson and now possibly Tucudean we are looking at a complete upgrade of the front six, whether we play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2.
If he is the final part of the puzzle then age and wages are a secondary consideration.

It has to be all about maximising results in the first ten games. Settle everything down...sell the final £250 season tickets!

Are we going to go for him then?

My only concern would be his age and injury record. Was last year a season too far for him?

  • No, no. nononononono.
  • Officially signed for the Spanners on a one year contract according to a friend of mine.
