No, but this is how another Championship side deals with a pre-season tour of Spain:
Albion will take on Getafe, who finished tenth in Spain's top tier in 2012/13, on Wednesday 17th July at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, kick-off 8.30pm (7.30pm UK time). Sporting de Gijon, who finished their last campaign comfortably in mid-table, will face the Seagulls in Segovia at Estadio Municipal La Albuerao on Saturday 20th July, kick-off 8pm (7pm UK time).
Meanwhile there are still three and five-day official Spanish tour packages for fans from €190, with three or four-star hotel options available.
We don't even know where we are playing our game in a week's time, but Brighton's game is 4 days later and they have got supporters' travel packages organised for 200 Euros !
The match – which is open to the public – takes place on Saturday 13th July and will kick-off at 11:00am (Spanish local time). Venue details: Marbella Paradise of Football & Sports (MPFS) Urb. La Quinta, Finca El Potril 29670 San Pedro de Alcántara (Málaga)
I don't think San Pedro is that far from Malaga. It should be about a 40 minute drive. I can't think of a football stadium in San Pedro though.
Take the train from Malaga Central to Fuengirola and then you can get the public bus that goes to Marbella. Doesn't cost more than about €10
AND YOU WILL STILL BE 5 MILES AWAY !
I suggest you get the 7-30am from Malaga Bus Station (Destination Algeciras/Cadiz) and arrive in San Pedro at about 9am. You still have a fair, uphill walk to the ground. There are 2 buses that leave at 8:30. One is a stopping bus (destination Selwo Aventura) that arrives at 11am (too late) the other is more direct (destination Algeciras) and arrives at 10-15 (still tight).
The fare is E7.87 whichever bus you use.
The cab fare is a whopping E65, but a weekend car hire might come out surprisingly good value if you shop around online.
Sorry to be controversial, but personally I can't see the attraction of traipsing across Europe to see a Charlton X1 playing on a training pitch. Just seems bizarre to me. Mad Dogs springs to mind :-)

Lightweight... ;-).
If it is as part of a summer holiday you would have taken anyway, why not?
If you want to compare other car hire company prices, another one I have used at Malaga Airport is MalagaCar.Com. You give them your flight number, go to the exit and wait for their bus to collect you or you can walk about 400 yards to their offices.
I went direct to their website for booking, but if you prefer to go through a UK agent then hirecarsinspain.com give you discount vouchers for booking with MalagaCar.Com.
So is anyone heading out and if so when? We are out of gatwick into malaga at 7ish tomorrow morning. In Gib Tue and Wed night then marbella Thur, home Fri. COYR.
You been to Gib before Algarve? If so what do you recommend tourism wise? Cheers.
Museum is good, cable car up to the top of the rock is worth doing. We have never done the caves, might well do that on Thursday - various tours you can do. Our main reason for visiting is so the missus can get to M & S and Morrisons...
