Chesterfield for the abandoned game last year. Absolute class.

Man Utd the day we got relegated 1990.
  • Options
Leeds away (0-0) or Bournemouth away (1-0 win) both because about 15 of us made a weekend of it and got completely f*cked from start to finish.

Man U away in the cup when we took 10k, had terrace tkts and went on the train v early, a quality all-dayer

Bournemouth away last year. Brilliant weekend which I think I'm still recovering from.

Came across so many random Charlton fans in the clubs in the evenings, probably a few on here.

I hate to say it but for me one of my fav has to be palace away on the 5/12/2004 and millwall last year

This! £1.75 a pint from 10am until nearly 8pm. I was smashed, slept most of the way back to London!

Coventry in the FA Cup, January 2000. Started the day up in Leeds, got lucky with a great game followed by a brilliant night that included a Tyson fight I think.

Yeovil for the weather and 'I was there' factor.

top of the list though is the '98 playoff final if I can get away with using that one? The whole atmosphere, everything. Just an amazing day that I'll never forget.

Carlisle 14/04/12 even though I had my mothers funeral the day before I made my way from Barrow In Furness and met everyone up there the day made me forget about all of my problems and had a right blast in the boozers before and the mad dash back to the station (it cost me £10 there from Barrow and £135 back to London lol)

Sunderland away, when we lost 3-2. Travelled up with Spankie and another mate on the Friday night to stay with a friend in the NE, came back Sunday after a really great weekend (other than the result). Saw Abs crawling drunkenly between some policemen's legs, having travelled on the train with the Russians and their special water bottles lol

I think I have to go back to autumn 1988 and a great trip to Norwich. Trips to Norwich were always good as we used to make a weekend of it but this was one of those times which stick in the memory. It helped that we played brilliantly and won 3-1 with two goals from Paul Williams and a Paul Mortimer special. Happy days!

In Denmark friendly against Lynby(sp?) - great 4 nights...shame about the football.

Stamford Bridge in 1988, apart from the result and unbelievably hostile atmosphere, the rest of the day was a totally surreal pub crawl, culiminating in the Sunday Sport headline about a man who had fallen in love with a lettuce "greenfly ate my lover"

Blackburn away this season was pretty special

The 4-2 win at highbury for me with jensens wonder goal.

    Norwich on St Georges Day.

    Bristol City in the cup.

Leicester when Di Canio scored and we won the Rugby World Cup.

    Blackpool about 5 years ago.

Liverpool the year we went down from Prem.

Southampton when we got a late winner.

Carlisle, Sheff Utd and Preston the other year.

    Too many to mention!

Newcastle Vs Charlton 91/92 when we won 3-4. About less than 100 Charlton, most travelled by coach. As I worked on the Railway, I got free travel, so me and a mate went up on the choo choo.
After the game, Police decided to walk the 20 ish of us back to the station together. We had a big police escort...4 horses etc. got about 3rd of the way and had to walk past a demolition site. Lots of Newcastle fans with bricks in hand ready to throw at us. Police started to panic so aranged for us to get in the back of a police van. But thre wasnt enough room fpr us all. So half got in and were drove to the station. The last remaining few were made to wait, when the van finally returned, we were bundled into it and driven off on lights to the station but missed the train. We then had to wait about an hour for the next train with pissed off poilce as they were due to finish once we had hone but were made to wait until we had gone.
