  • Does this mean that they will resign from the premier league and play in the Welsh alliance (Or whatever its called) thus preserving their welsh identity and not having to worry about commericalisation.

The owners have got them promotion to the EPL and in doing so have sold the clubs soul. Would you be happy for us to be playing in blue and called the Blue Dragons for example ? History and tradition is as important to a football club as players and owners.

  • Done.

If Charlton were to win the Premier league and the European championship clad in paisley pink and branded as 'Charlton Scimitars or the Valley Broadswords', I would be delighted. Stuff nostalgia if it impinges on progress. If you want to overindulge in history, visit a museum.

What if we moved on top of that...still wouldn't care?

The answer then is very simple. If all the fans stopped going there would be no business. You only had to look at their televised games to see that a large number had bought the new shirts, nevermind season tickets. Its what is affectionatly known as the Tesco Effect. People petition and protest about the building of a new Tesco and the second the doors open everyone shops there. Vote with your feet.
Customers are not powerless. If all Cardiff fans stop going to the games then I will sign their petition to help give that extra push. While their games are sold out their 'soul' is in their own hands.

no .. especially to a brand new 60,000+ seater with modern facilities generating a large income. (This is all theory of course. CAFC will never win any major trophy in my lifetime without a huge cash injection .. and cash injections inherently mean change, some will like the changes, others will hate it .. que sera sera)
