Just a heads up that Charlton Live will be bringing commentary of the game tomorrow at Cardiff for all those who'd like to listen in and cheer on the boys!
I am here. Just trying to ring the last drops of excitement out of the season. It's going to be a long long boring summer with only the rumors thread to keep me company.
2000+...unfortunately not all Addicks but a we had a good representation on the day, I reckon possibly upto 10% of gate not including team of course !!
It was announced as just over 2,500 but Cardiff reckon it was more like 3,500 due to the apparent slapdash nature of getting people through the gates and not scanning tickets etc... A handful of Addicks there, mostly family members and the odd fanatic including Seb! Plus us lot in the press box which exploded when the second goal went in! Great day
Cheers Madadd. Good article. For those that don't want to read the lot, here's what it says about Charlton:
"...it seems to me that City could have been more effective opponents for Charlton, but, to be honest, I’d say that result wouldn’t have been too different however we’d deployed our players, because Charlton were simply better than us on the day and the 3-1 scoreline didn’t flatter them at all.
With their first team not finishing too far away from the Play Off’s, their Under 21′s winning a national competition and their Under 18′s winning their league, Charlton look an impressive and well run club at the moment. With the talent they have coming through, I think we can expect them to make a real challenge for a Premiership place in the not too distant future. In particular, their attacking duo Michael Smith and Joe Piggott, well supported by first team regular Callum Harriott, caused us plenty of problems with all three of them looking fine footballers in the making".
