  • Forgot to say earlier that it was good to see Archie Edwards at the training ground, so hopefully he is now staying.

Sean McGinty with an own goal playing for Leicester. On trial apparently

    wasn't he at Charlton ?

He was the defender that signed for Man Utd a few years ago. From what I've been told he's not progressed as hoped and hasn't shown a good attitude.

Still he's young enough to turn it around.

    Should have stayed at Charlton
  • Great result. Shame about the U18s the other day.
  • I intended to get to this one but unfortunately didn't make it in the end. A mate of mine, a Huddersfield supporter exiled in north London, did make it to Sparrow's Lane and he pinged me a short email after the game. It included the following observations on the match and the 6-1 scoreline:

"Got to say your lads fully deserved it. We had a few injured and had to let go of a couple before the game started, so we were already on the back foot. But, we also had three who have been in our first team so can have no complaints.

Your lad Pigott got four. All well taken and hit the post. He could have had six by himself on another day. Harriott was busy mesmerising our players with his skill, trickery and wonderful ball control. I was really impressed.

Our boys were lucky to get one. Your keeper had a shot charged down but Crooks still had to lob him, which he did. Was all over when you got your third."

The success of our Under 18's and Under 21's bodes well for the future, especially with Financial Fair Play about to kick in. Hats off to Nathan Jones, Paul Hart and all the team involved in this season's success.
  • There were two very smart blokes there with clipboards etc. They were standing next to Michael Slater, it was difficult to tell whether he knew them or whether he was making himself known to them. In other words, were they dreaded agents.
