That spell when we pulled Cardiff apart. We were on another level to them for a short time - it looked like mean against boys. Gave me a real buzz and showed what this team had in it's locker.
I got to a few games this season, the most for a very long time to be fair, It's a long way to come from Oz. I was working in Egypt month on month off, up till Early December and when I wasn't getting pissed up and travelling around Europe I went to:
Blackburn home Watford home Wolves away Boro home Cardiff home Bristol City away Hudds home P/Borough Home Millwall away Brighton home
The stand outs:
I feel Honoured to be at the Cardiff game, as others have already said, it was a magical night. We got louder when their second goal went in, and we just knew that something extraordinary was going to happen. Every man woman and child who were there won that game that night with the support we gave. I'll never forget it.
Millwall away. Not a great game by any stretch, but the atmosphere was electric, we were loud, the whole away end singing as one. VFR at the end of the game was tingles down the spine stuff. We bossed it.
It was also nice to be there for our 20th anniversary of returning home to the valley V Brighton, The club put on a good day, and again when VFR was sung at the same time of Colin Walsh's goal scored against Pompey 20 years earlier it was a lump in throat moment.
Bristol City was a good day out too, proper old school stand that generated a lot of noise.
The comeback v Bolton when we were all still very fearful of getting relegated. Pivotal in our great end to the season. Gave us the real belief to push on.
As the season has come to the end i was wondering what your personal favourite memory of the season is ?
Mine has to be Birmingham away on the first day of the season, purely for the fact i had a cracking day out with loads of mates, with the sense of anything can happen, went absolute nuts when Cort headed us 1up, then feeling sick when Zigic scored in the 94th minute. http://youtube.com/watch?v=n-_aUYurjGM
Also scoring a late winner against Wolves, who i can't stand at all.
When we went 0-2 down at home to Cardiff I feared that the team would be booed and there would be calls for CP's head. Instead the whole stadium lifted to "CAFC" and support for CP. The players, led by the fantastic JJ, responded and Cardiff looked shellshocked. Let's face it when you have gone two goals up away from home you don't expect the home supporters to act as if THEY are ahead. The most fantastic passage of attacking football against, let us not forget, the team who went on to be champions, left us 5-2 ahead. The added time when we let them back in with two goals was of course par for the course for us but for me that match was the turning point. I knew we could match the best, even though we struggled on occasions afterwards.
Wonderful season all in all and a great way to finish.
This for me too. Fans and team could have rolled over but a JJ and North stand inspired comeback saw us destroy the best team in the league. Great stuff!
The Cardiff game was special for so many reasons, there have been other home games where the team has started badly, and the crowd has started grumbling or gone quiet, but that was one of the rare occasions when the crowd lifted the players when they needed lifting, and were the 12th man.
It was brum away turned up thinking we would get a lesson of how harsh this league was going to be but after watching us have some of the finest possession football I had seen I watched Rhoys do that little trick and turn away from the player and scoot off with the ball I realised wmy old compete
Even walking back from the ground to the station through bham you looked around you and thought well if it happens I reckon we will be alright told me Cafc were back in the championship and my balls were telling me we will be ok easily
Only managed to get to three games this season... so I'll have to go for Kermorgant's goal at home to Leicester, and that Ipswich player missing a penalty on boxing day.
Solly's goal at Blackpool. A real moment of togetherness, players, staff and fans all reacting as one, a real special moment at a cruitial point in the season.
Didn't go there but from what I heard Brighton away was something else. Brighton totally smashed us yet we stood tall and showed people the true Charlton spirit!

I loved every minute of all the games I got to.
Away game at Watford was a corker.
Away: Spanners, brilliant atmosphere from Charlton, one of the best we have ever had there
