Yet more games against the udders
U21s and U18s will face Huddersfield Town at Sparrows Lane
Iain Liddle reports
Dates have been set for Charlton’s national play-off semi-finals at both U21 and U18 level.
The club’s U21 side, led by coach Nathan Jones, finished top of Professional Development League 2 – South and will now play Huddersfield Town, who finished second in the northern division, in the last four.
The tie will be played at the club’s Sparrows Lane training ground on Tuesday, May 7th (12pm) and the victors will be away to Leicester City or Cardiff City, who meet in the semi-final, in the final of the competition.
At U18 level, where Charlton also finished top of their league, Paul Hart and Steve Avory’s side will also meet Huddersfield, on Saturday May 4th (12pm).
The victors of that tie will travel to the winners of Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers in the final.
Dates for the final in both age groups have yet to be confirmed, although the venue for each was determined by a draw made by the Premier League.
Admission details for both games will be confirmed by the club shortly.
