Fuller - Been very poor. Glad to see the back of him.
    Dervite - Good back up,keep
    Kerkar - Release
Hughes- Getting on a bit has he got another year left in him?
Evina - Still young id give him another years contract came in when wiggins was out played ok.
Taylor - Never been good enough at Championship Level..

I hear Waggy is off. I would not be surprised to see him sign for Bradford with Parky, he nearly went there in Jan.

Pity. I really liked him and did not think he was given a reasonable chance in his own position this year and was instrumental in the improvement in our fortunes when he played left wing - as his performance scores confirm.

Wish him all the luck in the world. Such a nice man.

He has to go to further his career. He is at that age. We will all wish him well I'm sure.

Think Waggy can be a L1 regular at least, depends on whether Bradford get promotion.
  • Be very disappointed if Evina goes but he's too good a player to be warming the bench. I'm happy with either him or Wiggins at LB.

Richard Cawley reporting this morning that Danny Haynes is set to sign a new contract.

    Good news if true.

Callum Harriott said last night that he was delighted with how everything was going and was going to sign up when the contract is put in front of him! Seemed a really genuine guy (as did all of them!)

A new contract with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital?

One hopes that the club know what the issues are, and that he can geta full rest this summer, as he's definitely an asset when fit.

He only signed for us in January 2012, was he only on an 18 month contract?

    Yes, signed for 18 months.

I am glad he's going to stay though I wonder what this means for Fuller and or Obika?

I'd like us to be looking at adding another forward but with Haynes and Kermorgant and then the emerging Smith to consider, perhaps it will be a choice of Fuller or Obika and A.N.Other?

If true then club would be wise to offer him a lower basic salary with good pay-as-you-play bonuses included. Can't be paying him decent money to spend three quarters of the season in the physio's room next season.

Other side to that is that if he does stay fit the Club end up paying a lot more to him than perhaps they have budgeted.

And that's assuming he'd accept such a deal.

Big IF I know but we know how effective he can be when fit.

If he can stay fit for the majority of the season I have no doubt he will get us 15+ goals as he does have great ability. Those type of goal scoring strikers don't come cheap in the Championship so the extra outlay would be worth it and certainly cheaper than buying a proven target man at this level.

I don't know if there is a quicker forward in the Football League than him when he's fit. Our whole attacking approach can change drastically just by having him in the side.

To quote the gaffer from our chat last night "with a 15 goal striker we would have been challenging for an auto spot this season"

Let's hope he doesn't have to come up against Danny Shittu again next season then!

Good idea, he'd only have to bottle it in training then!

To be fair a number of teams could say similar things this season

Tried to persuade the gaffer to keep RF last night. Not sure I got very far. Both him and YK capable of 15+ if fit for a whole season, I bet.

When I've seen Fuller play I wonder how much training he's doing between matches. He has an ongoing problem with his shoulder and he's clearly not 100% fit, so I wonder if he's doing nothing more than ticking over between matches? But can we afford to keep both him and Danny Haynes next season? Two out of three senior forwards in the club have injury records, if YK gets injured at the same time time as those two are out and we have big problems...

    Can't see us keeping both.

Really don't want to see Ricardo go. How many of our players have the natural ability to turn a game in one possession of the ball? That can be invaluable and he's been in great nick the last few games particularly.

Surely it depends on who's available instead and how much they are both on?

Say a striker like Baldock could come in for 10k who'd play 46 games instead of Fuller on, say, 15k, would anyone complain?

Sensible comment but not sure if it was a straight choice between the two all things considered (including finances as Baldock earns more than Fuller and would command a fee outside of our capabilities) I'm not sure I'd jump at Baldock - but I do understand the sentiment that we have to judge as it pans out, the only problem is we might end up with Ric out of contract before an opportunity appears.
