HELP HELP HELP for Cardiff away

Hi we are four Charlton fans in exile in Somerset who desperately want to go to Cardiff tomorrow night. Originally we were guests of a Welsh company and to enjoy the delights of corporate match entertainment BUT they have sadly gone into administration and the event cancelled. Furthermore tickets are not for sale on the gate as we would have expected.
We are looking for some local Charlton lifers to collect 3no OAP tickets and 1no Adult tickets from the club and to bring them to Cardiff??? a big ask but well worth trying I thought? I can be reached on 01823 253491 or 07975 656365 if anybody can help, pleeeeease

  • It might be worth trying to contact Chris Parkes as he does sometimes have tickets he gives out
  • I was going to say, it might be worth calling someone at the club and explaining. You never know there might be a way of getting the tickets down there on the coach!
  • Somersetaddick will have already tried contacts at the club already i'm sure. Good lads, hopefully someone can assist. To clarify, 3 xOAP and 1 x adult preferred but presumably any combination that gets admittance for 4??
  • Will be calling early in the morning guys. Thank you Swords yes we are a foursome!
  • Chris Parkes??? telephone number?

Sorry, I can't help as I'm not going. However, the tickets came off sale at 3pm today, so I don't see how anyone can help, as they can't buy you tickets. Ticket office is 0871 226 1905.

Unless of course you've already bought them & the ticket office are holding them ?
  • Hope you get stg sorted, SA. By the way, take a look at the "12 months ago today" thread - lovely pic of you at Carlisle!
  • So apparently about 250 tickets were sent back as they "can't be sold on the day" - and now Cardiff are selling them this morning as home tickets!
  • So Cardiff fans will be in the away enclosure?

It`s going to be very cosy in there tonight, they will be right up against the Charlton fans on either side lol

  • Just spoke to Cardiff and they inform they have sold all the Charlton returned tickets to home fans!!! Not all helpfull but had an instant helpfull response from our commercial manager, Josh Waddell

  • So are you sorted ?

they just change the configuration of home and away seats.
  • I believe there will be the usual dividers BUT still not sorted for tickets, still live in hope and willing to travel as late as 4.00pm as we live in Taunton, Somerset, HELP
  • I don't see why they shouldn't sell the returns - this could be a historic night for Cardiff. Imagine if we needed a few points for automatic promotion and there were a few hundred seats left unsold?
  • I still live in hope we can spoil their party? COYRs
  • It's a big call but you might be able to get a ticket in the home end from a tout
  • How many we sold then?

  • WWWWWWWWWWWoooooooooooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo yes yes yes a huge thank you to you all, Chris Parkes has now helped us out and we are on our way to Cardiff, Come on you reds!!!!!!
  • Ahhh nice one.
  • Brilliant - well done!! Let's hope it's worth it now....
  • well done to Chris, truly a good guy.
  • indeed, good man Chris
  • Well Somerset?? How was it?
  • We had a great night, we were possibly the better side? had our chances, rode our luck and best of all home by 11.15 which is unusual for us. Midweek games at the Valley leave us getting home on a school night at around 2.00 am!!! Huge thanks for all the support especially CHRIS PARKES who sorted the tickets for us. Should be noted that we parked the car within 50 yards of the entrance for a fiver, watched Charlton old videos over a pre match pie and a pint and were served by guys n girls in Charlton shirts, how welcoming is that? Well done Cardiff FC and enjoy your season in the Premiership but I fear that it will be a fleeting visit.
Man of the match Chris Solly again as he was just superb and totally made Bellamy look a second rate player
