Harriot & Wiggins

Hope we can keep them both for next season. Think they will make a terrific partnership down the left. Wasn't there today but they are getting rave reviews and I am not surprised. Both skillful, quick, attacking and hard working. Not going to get much better partnership at this level in my opinion.

  • We just need to get someone of similar quality in front of Chris Solly, a prolific striker who can feed off Kermogant, and a full season out of Andy Hughes or another defensive midfielder of similar quality and we couldbe going places.

    Agree 100%
  • I've already said it on two threads, and at risk of sounding obsessive, they were just brilliant. Both fulfilled defensive duties, and both read off the same script going forward. Harriott looks like he can't be tackled, and Wiggins' crosses are superb. Long may it continue.

Our left hand side has gone from being our weakness to our biggest strength. Just like two new signings when we needed them. I feel sorry for Evina to be honest.
  • Wiggins motm for me

We have something we can really build on. Don't want to see a clear out - just an addition or two to replace some peripheral players.

Harriott is going to be some player next season.
  • We need to keep our best players if we hope to push on next season. Just need a quality cm to run the game and we can start dreaming of play-offs.
  • Funny Hiw Chrissy has sorted that left side, it's almost as if he was a left back himself hehe, once again detriment to the man an well done Rhoys who I think is outstanding anyway and Harriot who is definitely very decent young player. I'm loving this result lol
  • They both need to be given new contracts sharpish
  • Yes, none of this waiting for the season to end nonsense. Needs to be sorted now. Harriot will be started to catch the wrong people's eyes.

  • I love Harriot, he was excellent yesterday. Isn't it just do much more enjoyable when you produce your own players rather than just buy them ?
  • It's currently the most exiting prospect for next season for me.

A couple of turnarounds evident for me...
    1) Seems like we have got 2 new players in Wiggo and Harry - obviously Wiggo coming back from long term injury and Harry just coming on scene. They are both very good players, and almost certainly'solved' our supposed left hand side weakness-and they obviously play well together.
    2) How the last couple of weeks has changed the opinion of so many people who at 2-0 down v Bolton were prepared to tear up this seasons season-ticket let alone buy one for next season.

Looking forward to next season already . If we can get shot of a few of the lesser fringe players, such as Kerkar,Green,Cook,Hollands,BWP,Button and Haynes(always injured)with say, 4 or 5 players who are a level up, then we could be looking for a top 6 push- must be a few players from Wolves,Bristol City and Udd that we could do with in our squad - lets start with Danny Ward,Adomah and SEB.
  • Dwight Gayle from Posh, JamesWilson from B City who unbelievably only makes their bench would be a start. Baldock, and Sako if we have any money. Also need a pacy, ball playing CH. Any ideas?
  • I think calling players that helped get us up last season, including our top scorer, wasters is a bit disrespectful.

Apologies Mutts, yes, wrong word used - lets use 'fringe'
  • What about Jamie o'hara from wolves , from dartford so could want a move bac south

yes, was mentioned before, however, it seemed that his existing wages and contract would be a hindrance !
  • O'Hara is apparently on £35k a week. Ridiculous for a Championship club, let alone one that could end up in League One.

Samba is on 100k a week, and he will be in the Champs next season !

  • Wouldn't be unhappy with us raiding Brizzle for Albert Adomah tbh, like what I've seen of him.
  • I'm sure we was one of the clubs keeping tabs on Adomah when he was playing in non-league but we only seem to sign non-league strikers. Think he would be a decent signing.
  • Imagine having a £35k a week player playing in League One!!!!
  • I do not believe we will be able to bring in four or five next season.

I think Fuller has added a bit of class - but at a cost.

As I have said so many times before I would do whatever to sign Jackson from Norwich. Judge looks more likely as he will not be on huge wages. I would break whatever bank we have on a striker and free up Fullers wages for this, but with a lot of regret.

The right side needs a bit of strength. I know it is a long shot, but buying a right back and putting Solly at RM maybe more affordable.

I think the back '5' are solid and Dervitte adds a lot. Becoming quite impressed with him to be honest.

Not expensive improvements, but the club would be moving forward and we have some good youngsters coming through.

  • I think the youngsters coming through are going to be a real boost. By this time next season I can see two or three more knocking on the door. Lets hope so.
  • Dont know much about Adomah but he could be a cheapish option when Brizzle are relegated and he is from Lambeth.

Harriot and Wiggins, Solly & Adomah could be interesting combinations!
  • Don't think powell would get adomah, wouldn't suit out play.

Adomah is the type of winger who only likes to attack and not defend, think the bristol city manager commented that he couldnt afford to play adomah cause of the lack of defending he does in a 4-4-2
