Hamer - 9 Dominated the 6 yard box, stopped anything that came his way. Solly - 8 Great delivery from the wing. Morrison - 8 Marshalled the defence well. Dervite - 8.5 Very comfortable with the ball Wiggins - 10 MoM. Simply faultless. Always a danger going forward plus numerous timely blocks and tackles going the other way. Pritchard - 8 Not a natural wide player, but still solid and a handful for their full back. Hughes - 9 I was worried when he back into the side. Minimum running, maximum result. Pirlo of the championship. Jackson - 9 Natural CM. This is by far his best position, especially alongside a ball winning player. Harriott - 9 A little gem. Improving defensively and a real box of tricks going forward. Kermorgant - 8.5 All action display. The Barnsley centre backs will not have enjoyed today! Fuller - 8 His class is clear to see, could easily still play in the Prem. If he had brought his shooting boots it could have been 10-0.
Hamer - 8. Controlled his box well.Only one real save to make. Distribution good (apart from one goal kick in the first half).
Solly - 9. Worked tirelessly, got forward well (cracking run into their 18 yard box on 90 minutes), put his body on the line when it mattered.
Morrison - 9. They could have played all day with 11 men - he wasn't going to let them score. Masterful in the air and threw himself in when required.
Dervite - 8. His best game for us by a mile. Looked really solid as a C/B and seemed to gel well with Morrow.
Wiggins - 9. Glad he's back and to his best - we've been missing him. Bonus point for his goal line clearance at 1-0 and a superb cross for Kermorgants goal.
Pritchard - 9. He played exactly the same was Perkins played at The Valley. Was everywhere making a nuisance of himself and playing it simple when in possession. Pleased he scored.
Hughes - 8. He's filled in the Stephens role fantastically well. Organises the team, encourages, supports and seems to have more time on the ball than anyone else.
Jackson - 9. Captain marvellous. Was everywhere and never seems to tire. So much energy and just keeps going and going.
Harriott - 9. Didn't really get much of the ball in the first half, but caused them real problems in the second with his twists and turns. He has become a real team member and the players seem to love him.
Kermorgant - 10. The bloke gets pushed, pulled, punched, elbowed and kicked with what appears to be very little help from the refs. He won virtually everything in the air, was always available and works his socks off. Great bit of positioning for his goal. Nearly had his leg broken by a tackle that we could see was going to happen for about 5 minutes before it did.
Fuller - 8. A lot of huffing and puffing and a lot of shrugging shoulders when either it doesn't go his way or he thinks a team mate has made a wrong decision. Should have scored before he did with a couple of wasted chances but his finish at the end was inch perfect. Turned their C/H so many times and ended up with one of them getting sent off.
Off it said ''Have just seen the marks given by that bastion of journalism, The Mirror (my missus buys it). They gave six of our starting line up a "6" and five of them a "7". Not one made the team of the day for the division. Wow. Just wow.''
It turns out no Mirror Reporters were actually at Barnsley, they were sent to Trafalgar Square to attend the left wing party celebrating an old ladys death. Which turned out to be a washout!
