Reading through the program our match mascot was an 8-year old Matthew Bristow (is he a lifer?)

So with Curbs in charge we were sitting in 9th place on 45 pts with Bradford bottom on 18 pts. Incidentally Leeds were 3rd, Ipswich 4th, with Coventry, Man City and Bradford in bottom three.

Anyone remember the day?

Oh and I look forward to seeing some lifers at Barnsley this afternoon, at the Dove Inn.

Comments

  • It was Good Friday and I sat on the M1 on my way to Leicester to collect my eldest daughter for 6 hours that day!

the news that we lost 2-0 was the icing on the cake!
  • I remember going & us losing. I was expecting to see alot of asians, as I'd never been to Bradford before & was under the impression, that Bradford was a heavily populated Asian area, but was surprised to see hardly any. No idea why.

NB This is an observation & a matter of fact, so please no racist comments. Thank-you.
  • I have this programme still, with Johnotan johannson's autograph! first away game!
  • I was there and it was a miserable day out. Did one of ours also get a red card?
  • I was there and what a crap awful performance it was.
  • Witnessed Seb go into melt down at this one. When Bradford went 2-0 up he went apeshit. Screamed "c**ts" about 20 times, kicked the crap out of a seat infront of him and then ran out of the ground.
  • Pretty sure I was there. Did we play in the black kit
  • That was a busy week, we went to Old Trafford on the Tuesday night, lost 2-1 but fought all the way. Come Friday, OK there may have been some fatigue, but it was a pretty limp surrender. Didn't see Seb's outburst but can understand how he felt!

As I recall we got there early and went in search of a beer, pretty soon we were in a fairly seedy part of town. One of the chaps helpfully pointed out it was were the Ripper committed some of his dark deeds. Didn't really add to the feelgood factor TBH....
  • Was at that one. It was the missus' first ever game.
There were identical twins in the Charlton end (which I recall was pretty full). I don't think I have seen em since.
