Morti - I think the bit you are referring to was when they showed the bookies favs to go down. Something like Barnsley, Doncaster, Yeovil in the bottom three. I agree about the err quality of the programme in general though.
I hate the assumption because you once played the game you're automatically a perfect choice for punditry. I would much rather listen to a good journalist who can string a coherent sentence together and has a personality with more than one tone to their voice than someone like Claridge or Shearer.
That being said there are obviously some players who seem to excell in the punditry field like Neville. Disliked him as a player but do enjoy watching MNF as he knows what he's talking about and doesn't just point out what I could tell you.
The problem with the football league show is that it can't be too good (better than MOTD). It has more to work with than MOTD, which can sometimes have only 4 matches to show, so the BBC has to build in poor elements to it and show it at an unattractive time. As long as the BBC show highlights of both Premiership and Football League matches, this will always be the case!

Apologies just watched it back and you are correct. My piss was boiling for nothing.
Parky looked good, I thought. Had the bearing of a proper football manager. He might just do ok, you know.
Alright so the programme's budget has been cut still further but they have at least one camera at every grown-up game in the country. That's not too shabby.

A muted Red, Red, Robin and now this.
What's the world coming to?

NB Last week it wasn't for ages, but there is a Football League Review at 19.00 Monday on SS1, which shows all goals/highlights.
