How Representative Are Lifers of The Wider Charlton Community?

  • Again, really good work Stig, and AFKA before that

This will become important when there is dialogue with the Club about fans attitudes.
  • Thanks everyone. Yes I agree Kap, it's not ideal, unfortunately I've no easy way of asking both groups - not without shifting from my comfy chair that is ;-)
I've put some of AFKA's stats into charts. I think the interesting difference is the amount of lifers attending zero away games which has doubled. I guess the differences are (1. Feelgood season in 2012, 2. No Away Cup games this season - Fulham last 3. Economy worse 4. 2012 figures included "expecting to go").

Perhaps these surveys don't interrogate Charlton Life population vs the CAFC population - they may just reflect people who like to complete surveys.

And also in this latest instance, just those that have jobs (or not) that allowed them to complete a survey in the brief window it was open.

No criticism but hard to draw too many conclusions.
  • Yep. Fair comment.
  • Stig said:

Lifers are not really representative of all Charlton fans...this little survey might be flawed, but I'm sticking with my hypothesis that Lifers are not truly representative of Charlton fans in general

That comes as a very great relief!

  • Is that a good thing then or not? :-)
