As things stand we have now lost NINE home games already this season.
Putting aside our relegation seasons from the top flight in 1990, 1999 and 2007 I cannot recall a worst home record in the second tier, in the 2008/9 debacle we lost nine, but on current form we are set to lose about 11 home games, probably more.
Can anyone recall a season like this before, outside the top flight?

I hope this doesn't come across wrong but, is threre, really, a need for another thread slagging off the manager/team/players for our poor home form?
We were in the division below last season, we have seen the squad we went down with, in 2009, decimated and we are in desperate need of money to boost next season's aspirations.
Just how many more reminders do we need that watching us at The Valley has been a less than fantastic experience this season?!
My Mum always used to say if you have nothing nice to say than don't say anything!
If - as I suspect - we end up losing 12 home games then that will probably me our most home losses ever in ANY season, that's extraordinary stuff.
The thing is that luck plays such a huge part in football and this season at home we have had precious little of it, the opposition seem to be scoring loads of wonder goals and freakishly lucky ones for reasons unknown.
In the 2000/01 season back in the Prem we were superb at home, only lost a couple of games all year BUT we rode our luck at times and a lot of the 1-0 wins could have been 1-0 losses.
Maybe this is just one of those seasons where it goes the other way.
