N'Guessan helped us get promoted with a couple of important performances and goals.
Hulse worked hard for us and showed that he cared which is rare for a loanee. He also has scored some important goals to put us where we are now with a chance of survival.
Would have both been in our squad today if we had the chance to buy them
And there lies the problem, Yann, BWP, Haynes, Fuller, Hulse, DNG...............not a Championship striker between them, as someone said on another thread we could have played all night and not scored a goal.
'their' opinion on Hulse and N'Guessan is that hulse is ok although he's hit and miss, but they think N'Guessan is sh*t. He was booed off at one of their recent games
Hope we dont get N'Guessan even on a free-be at the end of the season,Millwall work mates said they will pay his taxi fare just to get rid of him . i think he is nearly out of contract.
I liked Yann and thought he did well enough yesterday.
Was always busy and was very effective with his back to goal.
Just changed one word there!
30% chance of relegation - I don't think so ... not with our away form
What is wrong at home? I saw the highlights last night and we looked good... Yann's free kick only just wrong side of the post... Wilson missed and at same time Yann was being dragged down for a pen
What is really wrong? We are going in the wrong direction! We achieved the goal of mid table some months ago and there is a lack of ambition / cash. January was clearly the time to step up... CP could/should have been demanding resource... the board need to fund it!
I don't know enough about todays transfer market, coaching or technically what the gap is between CAFC and one of the top nine but I don't think it is that much. The first team are definitely not League 1 - they were champions and have spent most of this season in 11th-15th position. I am not going to call out individuals but I am sure the management team know exactly how to secure the points for survival.
Completely different question is will CAFC get the funds to step up? I thank the board for investing in a new squad 18 months back but that was then. If they do not have the appetite or hard cash to push the club on then best they hand over the BATON to someone who does!

Probably worded it poorly but i meant I liked Hulse when he was with us and thought he played well yesterday. Although Yann did well to win his headers and flick on which no one wanted to run onto.
Yep We brought in Hulse because of injuries to Yann and other strikers - wasn't criticising the wording, just using it to show that we have some decent players who show up each and every game
We are skint. Half a dozen games ago some were still entertaining the prospect of a good finish and playoffs. I doubt that possibility had been missed by TJ and MS. Had we been able to bring in a couple of real quality loans then who knows. We couldn't and now we are looking at survival as being our goal. Tough end to the season ahead and choppy water beyond I fear. Lets hope a knight comes out of the mist riding a white camel.
Can't agree with OP. We could of done with someone to hold the ball up like Hulse. Also N'Guessan made Solly work real hard a few times first half though Chris stuck at it and came out on top each time

DNG seems to have got a bit of pace and trickery but he still looks shit in general.
