Loan Signing Of Mark Gower

I would like other peoples opinion on this new loan signing for the rest of the season,
From what i can gather he is a 34 year old mid with a poor scoring record when he has played in the championship,
I have faith in Sir Chris but am slightly concerned and would like to hear what other fans think.
