Prior To Kick Off Saturday.

As the teams come out saturday, I would love everybody to stand up, holding a scarf/flag/banner and everyone belt valley floyd road around the stadium and see how it goes. Whos In?

  • Sounds like a great idea, would set the atmosphere nicely, maybe get it started ten minutes before the players come out, so they can hear it in the dressing room for added motivation... but i don't see that many will join in.
  • Wont work, I don't think those in the Jimmy Seed will join in
  • Or we could sing it on repeat, rather than stop after one rendition and all give ourselves a polite round of applause.

Or most of the east stand dressed in blue
  • Don't think VFR will blend well with the Red Red Robin

  • These threads do my head in!
  • I read the headline and thought SCP had picked Nathan as our center forward :-)
  • Drippy thread
  • Good point, Matt. The last thing we want is a good atmosphere.
  • Thought this was going to be a thread about Nathan planning a strop.
  • Yeah people trying to get atmosphere going, how annoying....
  • Embarassing.
  • We shouldn't need to organise atmosphere.

  • shouldn't need to... but some games that is the case

Tomorrow there shouldn't need to be plans to create an atmosphere for the game, we have been poking the kitty cat with a chair for a while. And even though this game doesn't matter to them, they are still showing more interest in this game then a majority of their home games... and we should be given something to shout about

  • I would rather sit in silence than be told what to sing and when.
  • Have a big word with yourselfs it's a derby game you shouldn't need to orchestrate noise for this game and the last thing needed Is scarves and other palace type stuff up in the air . Be normal and get behind the team and make there players unwelcome

i think he is suggesting it is more like the kop end at Liverpool then those lot from Croydon.

Maybe the timing of suggesting this is wrong. Maybe its something that should be done anyway at all home to lift the atmosphere in the ground before the game and has started and to pump up the players. Maybe it would pump up the players more and we would get more home wins.

Me and junior also sing Red Robin. Can normally see half a dozen more joining in - maybe it's a West Stand thing? we can only remember old songs.........

(off topic - CatJnrs favourite around the house at the moment is Goodbye 'Orse. I think that may get an airing Saturday)
