Welling United game tonight

I went to Welling on Saturday as I did not fancy Huddersfield again and they played pretty poorly. Reminded me of Charlton at home, high expectations with no fight on the pitch, although they did score a last minute equalizer. They have another game tonight that I thought I might attend, but with this weather it would probably off. I got sent a picture of the pitch, if a non-league team can keep the pitch of a good standard then surely Charlton should. Doubt Welling spend as much on the pitch as Charlton and they have two teams sharing the ground!

There is no excuse for it.
Our pitch should be a whole lot better than it currently is!
  • Should be on tonight, they have played in worse weather this season!

I think we need to take into account that a couple of games that really fucked up the Valley pitch would have been called off if it was at Welling. We have a lot more revenue to be earned on a saturday home game than Welling do, so calling a game OFF isnt as easy as it is for them.
    Our pitch hasnt really recovered.
  • Plus they have a bit of a fixture pile up and need to get these games played or it could mess up their chance of going up.
