  • Or any of them ?
  • neither would be my guess
  • I've mentioned Derry and Tabb before but would be more than happy with any of them.
  • Derry .. but it won't happen

Hasn't Derry just signed a years extension with QPR? I thought that Harry had reinstated him in to the first team.

Gower has been linked with us in the past and played for the Swans at this level two years ago when they got promoted.I suspect he might sign up for 18 months.

Tabb is available and apparently turned Blackburn down last week.He would be my choice of the three although they are different types of player,so this need not be either / or.

Derry never seems to stray far from the area between the centre circle and the semicircle by his own penalty area .. but he is a very effective player
  • I think we could do with both Derry and Tabb, both good experienced players in positions we aren't particularly strong. Derry's physicality would help the midfield I'm sure, but would he and Jacko be mobile enough as a pair?

For all his faults I think we might end up missing Pritch's energy if he were taken out of the side. If he could only find a way to get his shooting boots on and take only a third of the chances he gets then his goals + his energy would make him a very valuable player indeed.
  • Shaun Derry gets my vote on the grounds that he looks even older than me. The sight of him out there would give me hope that the I can still make it.
  • Have I missed something?
  • Not really BHR, just something to talk about. Saw a lot of people mention recently that we need an experienced head in the middle to help us through and these three are the most likely options.

On Derry, he was back into the QPR team but after their 4-1 loss at Swansea, he hasn't even seen the 18.

  • Tabb I like. Derry is getting on.
  • The story is true now its in the paper i will say for fact that we are in talks quite advanced with mark

Weren't it you who said you knew him last time this cropped up?

  • Well I have a slight inkling we may sign Mark Gower ;)
  • Yep was told yesterday that it may happen now it's in NS that we are in talks I know we are just waiting for a few bits to be done ( not money )

Mark is confident it will happen but who knows until it's completed

I hope so as he may not be the quickest but he is a good baller and will help see games out and turn some losses into draws and draws into wins
  • Will be over the moon if it's true, better than anything we have at the moment.
  • I believe it when it's on the OS. : - )

If you think he's good that will do for me.

  • Summer deal or loan?

  • Just on loan for the remainder for now like i said not complete but close just loose ends our end
  • I heard a while ago that it would be resurrected for a summer deal but not sure from where. Good signing if it comes off!
  • If it happens, i will be pleased, relegation worry 100% over IMO. (now it wont happen)
  • Blimey, a rumour that appears to have some foundation! Hope this one concludes successfully.

Jay Tabb strongly linked with Ipswich on Twitter,so it looks like it will be Mark Gower.

In his time he was a great player, hopefully he can help see us over the line and then possibly sign up next season.
  • Gower is out if contract this summer ( unless I've missed something recently ) so might still be willing to sign in summer
  • I'd be pretty pleased even though Swans fans I know talk about him like Weds talked about Morrison and Leicester about Kerm. And Palace about Obika.
  • would be made up if we got him in.
  • Isn't Gower Simon Francis's brother in law?
