Button - 6, decent but probably liable for second goal
Solly - 7, decent game and when chance came did good work on the attacking front
Morrison - 7, needed him at back, won most headers when ball was lumped forward
    Taylor - 7
    Wiggins - 6
    Wilson - 6
    Pritchard- 5, anonymous tonight
    Jackson - 8
Harriott - 7 for overall performance
    Fuller - 6
    Haynes -7
  • Button - 6 could do nothing really with the first, made one or two good saves, but think he could have done better with the second
Solly - 7 not the best first half, but was our best option down the right second half, improved as the game went on
Morrison - 6 far too many shaky moments, improved second half
Taylor - 6 same as Morrison
Wiggins - 7 linked up well with Harriott and was a threat
Wilson - 6 should have been subbed for Green but had good energy, just not enough quality in crosses
Pritchard - 7 supported Jackson really well and made some good passes throughout
Jackson - 8 took his goal brilliantly well, super captains performance
Harriott - 7.5 set up Jacksons goal and worked his socks off, deserves to play more regularly, good game
Fuller - 5 had a great chance with a free header in the first half but was almost non existant second half
Haynes - 7 worked really hard and chased a lot, covered the whole of attacking line and scored, done well

  • Button 6 sound game apart from that goal
Solly 6 slow start but good going forwards
Morrison 5 doesn't seem to be on his best form
Taylor 5 there was a big gap through the middle tonight and he shares the blame
Wiggins 6 still recovering past form
Wilson 5 one who isn't on top form but unlucky with the left footer off the bar
Pritchard 5 tough game for him was wrong side of the man first goal
Jackson 7 I just wish he had more pace. Our best finisher and nearly another FK goal
Harriott 5 much improved 2nd half deserves another go
Fuller 5 to be fair, zero decent service
Haynes 6 Ought to have put one of two headers away

  • Button - 6 looked solid for most of the game, a couple of good blocks. But could definitely have done better for the second. Dare I say it, Hamer would have stopped that?!
Solly - 6.5 improved throughout the game, but not at his best in 1st half. Unusual for him.
Morrison - 6.5 shaky first half & should have done a little better with their 1st. Solid 2nd half.
    Taylor - 6.5 as above
Wiggins - 7 looked assured and confident on the ball. His speed allows him to cover the centre backs.
Wilson - 6.5 unlucky with his effort off the bar. A solid option at RM.
Pritchard - 7 as always, worked his socks off. Not afraid to get stuck in.
Jackson - 7.5 great captain's performance in 2nd half. Great finish for the goal.
Harriott - 6 not as impressed by everyone else. Lightweight and barely put a pass together until a great assist for Jackson. Also shirked out of a challenge which let to their equaliser. He shows great promise however & can clearly be a threat. Hope he gets more chances to impress this season.
Fuller - 6 everytime the ball was played up to him he had two men on him, P'boro had clearly done their homework
Haynes - 7 worked hard, his pace is always a threat & grabbed another goal.

  • Button 7 - Picked up everything in the air and came out well, made a vital one-on-one save at 1-0 to keep us in it, but looked slow down for the second goal, probably at fault.
Solly 7 - Good work down the right with Wilson, good cross that led to the second goal.
Morrison 6.5 - Should've tackled Swanson before the opening goal, otherwise dealt with long balls well and threatened in the box going forward.
Taylor 6.5 - Solid if unspectacular defending.
Wiggins 7 - Was a real threat in the second half down the left. Good to have him back fit and firing.
Wilson 7 - Solid work down the right, worked himself a chance with good neat passing play into the box. Cracking shot early on came off the underside of the crossbar.
Pritchard 7 - Ran all game. Sometimes the central areas were overrun but that will happen when we only have two in there.
Jackson 8 MOM - Superb captain's performance. The goal was taken brilliantly, he also ran tirelessly all game, and was visually encouraging his teammates for much of the game. The passion was there for all to see after the goal. A great finish.
Harriott 7 - Had a tough first half, with few crosses finding intended targets, but in the second half he was lively, tricky and created a number of chances, not to mention getting the assist for Jackson's goal. Would not stop running all game.
Fuller 5.5 - Fairly anonymous, but was heavily marked. Came off as he looked rather knackered. Not his best game.
Haynes 7 - His pace causes real problems for defences. Always looking to be played the ball, and did well when he got it. Good finish, if only from about two yards, but possibly could've scored another header.

Good tactics from CP, looked to be positive from the start. A great first 20 minutes before conceding. Did well at half time to give players the belief to go on and score. Decent point and a fair result in the end, both sides threatened on numerous occasions.

  • Button 6 Excellent kicking and one excellent stop, but should have done better with 2nd goal.
Solly 6 Looked to be still suffering from his virus 1st half but was better in 2nd half. Good assist for 2nd goal.
Morrison 5 Off the pace, again! They ran straight past him for 1st goal.
    Taylor 6 Reasonable game.
Wiggins 6 Still not at his best from last season, but getting there.
Wilson 6 Unlucky not to score with shoot that hit underside of bar in first few mins, but seemed to fizzle out in 2nd half.
Pritchard 6 You can't fault his effort but is too easily knocked off the ball.
Jackson 7 Well taken goal and overall good performance.
Harriott 5 Score based on 3 for 1st half when he could do nothing right and 7 in 2nd half when he made a real contribution
Fuller 6 Every time he got the ball, he was literally jumped on by 2 defenders. Didn't receive any protection from referee.
    Haynes 7 Very lively.
