never went to oceanos its just i could see the clubs entrance from the rooms window. seemed convient if i ever did want to rave it up in there.
same as you I used it as a place to rest my head. got in around 5am after a celebrating a friends birthday who lives down there. didnt fancy sleeping on their floor. However for this match there will be a free bed for me round their place.
yeah was by the sea front. the good thing about the other one further into town though is that its got free parking.
I think most of the trains are 4 carriages only. It is an absolute nightmare after a game. Public transport is the one thing they haven't sorted out and is only going to get worse with the ground expansion.
Agree there, some trains are only 2 cars....best bet would be to walk back to Brighton and get a train from there...but must be at least an hours walk, not a problem on a Saturday but late during the week not so good.
Palace fans were apparently kettled, held for 40 minutes and then walked back up the A27/23
40 minute wait for the train at Falmer? You'll be lucky if you are there for a 1 hour 40 minutes.
After seeing the queue for the train station I though f*** this and went back into the ground for a few beers. Must have been in there for an hour. There was still a HUGE queue when I came back out.
How they can keep expanding that stadium whilst transport is a joke is beyond me.
So how did you get back to London then?
Train. Waited in the queue in the end. Had no choice.
We've got a midday Sunday fixture against them next month. Joy.....
the Club are thinking about running a Valley Express service along the south coast from Hastings but depends on numbers. Contact the club asap is my suggestion.
Tickets purchased ... looking forward to this ... apart from Charlton, I think it will be the first time I have seen a team play at 3 different home grounds, Goldstone, Withdean and now Amex.
Was going to book tomorrow, but will go for today then.
Out of interest, if previously you've bought say 3, 4, 2, 4, 3, 1 and 2 tickets for an away game, you're only allowed one for this aren't you? That's pretty poor if so, like had I gone somewhere on my own I'd be punished for it.

Surely not - I would have thought you could pick your highest 4, i.e. you could buy 2? Otherwise it would be stupid.

You can buy the average mate, so you should be able to get 2 or 3. I've just ordered 2 I've also purchased one ticket on a couple of occasions.
I could hear them selling SE9Addick's tickets at the same time : - )
The guy on the phone didn't think we'd get more than the 2000 initial allocation but who can be sure.
The club should be sure. Might be down to the police or the home club, but it wouldn't surprise me if we've told Brighton we won't take more than 2,000 to an evening game anyway.
Just seen they're doing coaches from canterbury which make my attendance possible.
To anyone whose uses valley away coaches much, me and a brighton mate at uni with me are keen on using them to get to the amex. I'm not saying he'll be parading around in blue and white on the coach, but was wondering how swiftly they tend to leave after the game (because he'll obviously be making his way back from the home end)?

What about when it goes to red card holder with 4 aways on Friday? I purhase 2 or 3 for most away games, but went on my own (in ticket terms) to Ipswich, so will be pretty annoyed if I can only buy one for Brighton because of that, esp when seaosn ticket holder can get 2 and give them to anyone.

personally don't think it will get that far. New ground, local, half term etc.

I'm assuming you should be able to buy the average as well. I phoned them up on Monday to ask how many I was entitled to and she said 2 as that was my average ticket purchase.

It's always been based on the minimum bought for all four games in the past, so if you've bought 4-4-4-3 you'd be entitled to three, but that isn't to say the rules are always applied rigidly by individuals.

I think the question asked earlier was in relation to if you had bought for more than four games, i.e. if you had 4-4-4-3-1, would you be allowed to buy 3 or 1? I would guess 3, otherwise it wouldn't seem fair, but maybe I'm wrong.

Oh I see so because I've been to more then 4 away matches and purchased 2 tickets four or more times I'm entitled to two.
Train travel, within the subsidised zone, is included within your match ticket package between 11.30am and 9pm (3pm kick-off) or between 4.15pm and midnight (7.45pm kick-off).

Presumably, if you were going into Brighton for a beer, you only had to purchase a train ticket for Haywards Heath, as anything past HH is covered. However, if you were on an all dayer, you can't go cheap as only valid after 4.15pm.

Good point Nathan.
That won't affect Prior, as he looks after his pennies and will go as cheap as possible.

As that looks like the only way i have a chance of getting to this game.
