Thought this might be of interest

Clearing out my wardrobe under instructions from she who must be obeyed and came across this. It was published in The Mercury in early 1991 I think. My daughter was born in July 1990. Most amazing thing is I haven't changed one bit ;0). Take note of the dodgy journalist too.

  • Top stuff SHG! That is an 80's haircut though. That must have changed a bit?
  • How does your daughter feel about her middle name?

She loves it. She's a Charlton fan of course and until she got married last year was a season ticket holder. She gets there when she can these days. I think it's actually a very nice middle name and certainly not common.
  • I delivered the Merc at the time and actually remember reading this. Think Rick later covered it in his book as well.

I'm glad. In the far future I'm sure that the first thought that comes to mind when she writes her name will be happy memories of her dad and Charlton.
  • I remember reading that too!
