Never rated him. Think that is about the right level from what I saw. Some of these threads on our recent past players (Mooney) etc show just how far we have come.
He was 19 when he came to us in a side that had struggled for years to work out that you needed at least three defenders in a compact line. Played well, tucked in well with his centre halves, was good on the outside going forward and had a crisp pass on him. Thought he had the potential to be way above league one level. Hope he pushes on and get's a chance at champ, as he's only 22.
Unbelievable really. No disrespect to Dartford whatsoever but he's better than that level, surely.
He has a nasty injury back end of the season before last and was out of contract a year ago so has been gradually working himself back to fitness.
Played the back end of last season for Concorde Rangers and now signing for Dartford I think shows he's quite willing to graft to get himself back into league football. Good luck to the fella .
there are just so many good to average players available .. as defenders go, I would say that Fry is average. Dartford have potential and probably pay as well as most 2nd and 1st division clubs

Dartford are still semi-pro so they won't be paying league wages. Good luck to him (and the Darts) next season though.
Some people seem to have long memories when judging a player that we had on loan when he was a teenager. A teenager is hardly the finished product.
Maybe West Ham didn't consider him Premier standard when they released him. Fair enough. But that doesn't mean he won't improve or work his way back up the Leagues or even play in the Prem one day.
Michael Turner and Danny Shittu are 2 examples of players let go by then Premier League Charlton - but then played their way back to the Prem.
When he played centre back he was excellent. Young and a leader. Fearless in the tackle too. I don't know if his injuries have really ruined him but hope he makes it back up the ladder.
