I see tomorrow we have got to face the wily old fox again.Although we kept him relatively quiet last time,he always makes me nervous when you see him moving into the box.If subbed,I bet he does not get applauded this time!
I think it was discussed in another thread how much love lots of Addicks have for this man despite not playing for us, but not for two hours at 3pm tomorrow !
What must the palarse fans be thinking ? Sold 20 year old Zaha for £10m and bought his dad in on loan
Sold Zaha - took the money and kept him for the season -AND signed his dad !!
Birmingham pulled the same trick with Butland, whereas we got completelty stuffed with Shelvey not being able to play for us, and missing the playoffs ...
anyone know where the answers to the 'Valley Whispers' part of the matchday programme are ?? in the last programme it said " Which senior Charlton professional- a boyhood Sunderland fan-continued his collection of Kevin Phillips' shirts when he gathered the veteran striker's jersey following the home game against Blackpool on January 12th"

Sorry to side track this thread but it does involve players shirts. At one time I worked with Dave Kitsons dad Kevin who told me that when he played for C--------. UT d. there was a couple of young fans who idolised dave and he told them at the last game of the season he would give them a piece of kit each. At the final whistle of the final game one fan got his boots the other his shirt when he got to the dressing room dave was asked where his shirt was he explained the situation at this point a member of staff (not player) rushed out and retrieved the shirt from the boy as he was leaving the ground. I do know that some clubs have to watch every penny but some times it is a very sh-tty game.
Huge amount of respect for the player, but I thought this might be near the end for him when he played against us a few weeks ago. Still dangerous, in terms of the quality he has, but not the player he was. I wouldn't have been particularly excited if we had signed him.

I would give him a clap. One of the best English strikers of the last 20 years, and involved in our greatest ever game.

Clapped him off the other week but he's Palace now...

And should have scored in the first 5 minutes against us at home .
Do like the guy thoe
Past his prime but still got it about him. Comes across as a decent bloke too and turned my stomach seeing him in the moody Barcelona strip today.
