Horsemeat In Burgers: Tesco Removes Product

Tesco, along with a number of other supermarkets, has removed certain brands of frozen beef burgers from its shelves after they were found to contain horsemeat.
How has horse meat got into the food chain? In France maybe, however in the UK & Ireland, horse are for only riding or betting on. I've eaten horse meat and don't have a problem with eating it. Saying that, someone somewhere is up to no good.

Can't believe you lot, making a joke of it.
I understand that Tesco are going to get a survey run by gallop to see what the public want.0 -

Makes good sense to me fast food for when you're on the hoof.0

What's the odds on that then? Mane meal of the day for me. Just stirrup a nice sauce to go with my burgers.0

And to think I put horseburgers in the 'unusual things you've eaten' thread. Turns out it's not that unusual!0

Aparently they are low in fat, but high in Shergar0
