There's been mention on a couple of threads about Ben Hamer's kit looking quite a lot like the Blackpool strip.
I also noticed during the Cup game (God, I must have been bored) that the Hudds goalie was wearing an identical kit to the ref - yellow shirt, black shorts, black socks.
Now, this doesn't bother me really, but I said to my mate at the time that there are so many laws in football that sometimes seem petty and outdated, so I'm surprised that avoiding any kit clash like this appears not to be enforced. I mean, there is, I suppose, a theoretical chance that the ref and the goalkeeper will be close to each other and for this to cause a split second error for another player. The Hamer/Blackpool shirts even more so.
As an aside, I would personally prefer it if the goalkeepers wore the same socks and shorts as the rest of their team and only had a different shirt.
Like in the good old days! :-)

I like the idea of a different keeper jersey with standard shorts and socks too. I've never understood the whole sock changing thing when they clash, when some teams don't even change shorts when they clash.
I also hate black kits, the only person who should be in black is the ref.
So I don't know if the rules have changed since then or am I imagining that?

Sure it was an Easter Monday game but it wasn't the game when Gritt went in goal.
Don't keepers get to choose their colours these days? Like Robbie Elliot with that bloody awful pink kit?
