Button 7- 1 good save first half and nice to see a keeper catch the ball as opposed to punching it back to the away team to let them have a second go.kicking not as good as though.
Wilson 6- dealt reasonably well with Scannell but not as good at right back as right midfield .Shame that he was not played in his best position as we might then have had at least one wide player who would have created something .
Dervite 3- very disappointing today .Lacking in conviction in the tackle and brute strength in headed challenges.the least said about the incident giving rise to the sending off the better probably .hope that he is not on twatter /facecock latter talking about dinner at the Oxo Tower as that would be extremely imprudent following that display.
Taylor 4- oh dear ! Too slow for this league and got badly shown up by a premier league reject in Beckford.in a cruel kind of way I was initially relieved to think that it was him that got sent off rather than Dervite - could not see clearly at first - but then the full horror of the incident unfolded including the fact that he will now be playing against Blackpool in a game that matters so much more than today.
Evina 5- headless chicken / crapped himself for first 15 minutes but settled down after that which seems to be a bit of a pattern with him.bet he doesn't rent horror movies on Netflix too often given his nervous disposition .
Kerkar 2- utter garbage no pace and no end product . Complete fairy and hopeless at closing his man down . An extremely disappointing performance .don't want to see him starting again in a long time.hope that he bought both Green and Waggy a drink in the players bar after the game for depriving them of a start after that rubbish. Also any passing fan who had to witness his crappy effort. In fact I hope that he is now completely skint having to buy drinks for all and sundry after that bollocks.
Stephens 7- looked like he tried and that he cared, well at least more so than about half a dozen others including Powell.Mightily relieved about that .some things came off for him others didn't .without him we would have looked so much worse.
Pritchard 6- bit like Wilson in terms of overall performance except that he was playing in his favored position and was not as good as he has been of late.can he really be that jaded as today's game would suggest after the busy Christmas schedule?Prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Cook 3- for 10 minutes he showed some nice touches and short passing after that he was piss poor .needs to spend a week on the training pitch learning to cross the ball either low and hard or accurately to the far post ,anything but a cross failing to beat the first defender. In this endeavour Kerkar should be allowed no where near him .in fact Kerkar should be made to sit behind the goal on a ball boy's stool wearing a white coned shaped hat with the letter D on it.
Kermogant 6 battled but not particularly well today.a couple of duff shots when well placed and moaned a lot at other players albeit with a lot of justification today .not completely "merd " but not that good either it has to be said .Prepared also to give him the benefit of the doubt.
BWP 2 - I make no bones about this : Shit ! A game that he should have embraced as a real opportunity but his touch his shooting his application and in fact his everything was garbage.not prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and very worried about him playing up front in the absence of Haynes.
Morrison 7- did what was required of him when he came on and demonstrated strength resilience and solidity.Hope that Dervite was watching rather than poncing about in the players bar sipping a creme de menthe or pastis or something.he would have learned something useful.
Jackson 7 - gave it a bit of a go as one expects from him but all a bit too late and too desperate by then.
Azeez 6 - glad that he got a chance as a young promising kid apparently in a game that was already lost and for which he obviously bears no responsibility.that misplaced and under hit square pass with his back to goal easily picked off by their midfield could have been costly but the counter attack came to nothing .he was trying too much and hope that he learns from that.
Ref 8- thought that he got a lot right today including the sending off . a refreshing change to some of the clowns that we have had recently especially the knob (the one that looked like that crook Robert Maxwell back from his watery grave ) that did the Derby match .welcome back later in the season .

So Kerkar's your favourite player then mate ;)

I do not go to Cup games because I am fed up with watching our poor performances over the years. I only decided to go after reading SCP comments on the web and thought we would be playing the first team. I feel cheated out of my £15 and wasted 1/2 a tank of petrol as well. We need a left sided winger urgently and a right back for cover for Solly and another CF.

Button 8 Good that we have 2 excellent youngish Keepers, basically Button and Hamer have replaced Elliot and Randolph.
Wilson 6 Prefer him in midfield
Taylor 5 At fault for goal,do not think he should feature in the CCC hope we get a loanee in this week
Dervite 5 Terrible. The sending off sealed our fate today
Evina 6 Shaky at the start but improved,he is still learning
Cook 5 Couldn't see much positive to report, maybe needs to go on loan in L1
Pritchard 7 Was energetic and kept going
Stephens 6 Played some good balls but also lost possession at times
Kerkar 5 Didn't impress at all ,we need a positive left footer in the window urgently.
Kermorgant 6 Tried hard and kept going
Wright-Phillips 5 Didn't look as interested as he did against Derby.

Morrison 6 Did nothing wrong and we looked sounder at the back when he came on.
Azeez Good to see him make his debut, let him go back on loan to Wycombe now to gain League experience
Jackson Effective with dead ball situations,we miss him when he does not play

Button 7.5- Kicked well, good save. Thought he was v.good
Wilson 7- Prefer him at RM
Taylor 6- Won lots of headers, let Beckford win ball for goal
Dervite 5- Silly mistake then red.
Evina 6- Got forward well, got caught out a couple of times
Cook 4.5- Why ahead of Waggy and Green at RM?
    Pritchard 7- Typical Bradley performance
Stephens 7.5 - Class above anyone else in red. Just no one else was on his wavelength
Kerkar 5- Drifts and drifts, never gets stuck in. Fairy
Kermorgant 6- Not his usual self
Wright Phillips 4.5- Won a few headers, seemed very uninterested considering his fight for selection.
Morrison 6- Important block on 85 mins to stop counter attack which looked certain goal to make it 2-0

Having read through the other comments, this pretty much sums up my thoughts. Stephens absolutely head & shoulders above every other player.

    Button 5.5
    Wilson 5.5
    Taylor 5
    Dervite 4
    Evina 5
Cook 4.5 poor green and waggy
Pritchard 6 effort but not much ability
Stephens 7 not great, couldn't deliver from a set piece but looked like he cared.
    Kerkar 5
    Kermorgant 5.5
    Wright Phillips 5
    Morrison 5.5

    Wilson 6
    Taylor 5
Dervite 4 20 seconds of madness.
Evina 5.5 improved as the game went on.
Cook 4 Don't write him off just yet. Some of the critism has been way too harsh.
Pritchard 7 bullied by them but tried to get everything going constantly!!
    Stephens 7
Kerkar 6.5 thought he was better than what a lot of people are saying but each to their own.
Kermorgant 5 stop complaining and get on with the bloody game!
    Wright-Phillips 4 disinterested and it's a shame. Azeez should've been given longer.

    Morrison 6

Ref had a very good game. Thought he was fair and unbiased.

CP 2/10. He says he really wanted to get into 4th round but he goes and plays our 2nd team. That doesn't make sense. We were never going to win with an almost completely changed team in an FA Cup game. You can get away with it in the JPT or Carling Cup.

That's another reason why I think the 'no strength in depth' comments are wrong. I'm sure 2 or 3 of them could step into the 1st team and we'd be fine. When you make 7 changes to your team (this includes Wilsons positional change), it's never really going to work.
  • Button - 6 - The "bad clearance" was a nasty bobble
Wilson - 7 - Real danger going forward, played well out of position
Taylor - 6 - Not bad not grat
Dervite - 4 - Real pity, we can have Dervite OR Taylor play but only with one of Cort or Morrison. Never both together
Evina - 5 - Amazing at Watford, showed a bit more of his terrible habit of getting the ball taken off him in his own half.
Cook - 3 - I was half planning a player watch on him, but it became clear that there was nothing to write at half time...
Pritchard - 7 - Great work rate, never loses his cool. A great player.
Stephens - 7 - better than normal, still not top notch, but encouraging
Kerkar - 4 - The bright side is he probably won't play for us again barring severe injury/us being relegated to league 2.
Kermorgant - 5.5 - Uneffective, but some great heading.
    Wright Phillips - 4 - no good.
Morrison - 6 didn't put a foot wrong but didn't have much to do.
  • Button - 7 very competent - every bit as good as Ben Hamer
Wilson - 7 certainly one of our better players
Taylor - 6 apart from letting Beckford in for the goal, he had a reasonable game
    Dervite - 6 as above
Evina - 5 very poor first half but improved slightly in second (although still out of his depth)
Cook - 5 showed the occasional bit of good movement but otherwise disappointing
Pritchard - 7 one of the few showing real desire
Stephens - 8 played much better than of late
Kerkar - 4 very disappointing, looking totally out of his depth
Kermorgant - 6 he is starting to win the ball again but still far from his best
Wright Phillips - 4 very poor. Contributed nothing. Completely out of his depth.
    Morrison - 6 competent display.
  • kelvedon-you must be the only one in the ground that saw "occasional bit of good movement"from cook.perhaps you/he thought it was "strictly come dancing"

    Kerkar - 6.5
    Kermorgant - 7
    Wright Phillips - 6
    Morrison - 7
  • Button - 5- Cant see for the life of me why he was so long at spurs. kicks were terrible as was some of his handling.
Wilson - 6 - Usual endeavour but posed little threat.
Taylor - 6 - Steady game dont know why he has been overlooked in games this season.
Dervite - 4 - Cost us the first goal and dire positioning for the goal and for the foul which led to him being sent off.
Evina - 5 - Not his best game in a Charlton shirt
Cook - 3 - Hadnt seen him play yet and never want to again.
Pritchard - 6 - Trouble with Pritchard hes either good or bad. Wont look back on this game with any pride
Stephens - 7 - Charltons best player by a mile, why cant he play like this every week.
Kerkar- 2 - He must have caught the management in a lewd act, to get a game when he does. I am a Cowdenbeath fan and wouldnt want him to play for the blue brazil. Totally useless.
Kermorgant - 6 - tried but thats about all.
    Wright Phillips - 6 - As kermogant
Morrison - 6 Knows his place is safe and thats worrying.

  • Button - 7 not at fault for the goal, decent handling
Wilson - 6.5 didn't attack as much as usual, showed good PAC
Taylor - 5 very easily caught out for the goal
Dervite - 5 lumbering, had to go
Evina - 6.5 didn't do much wrong, needs to improve his distribution
Cook - 4 failed to follow up on encouraging cameo at Watford
Pritchard - 5 didn't have his usual zip
Stephens - 5 Hudds bossed the midfield
Kerkar - 6 good getting up and down and gave us some shap
Kermorgant - 5 no threat at all
Wright Phillips - 5 one decent chance to break away but fluffed his pass
Morrison - position not under threat
Azeeze - encouraging but raw, won't make the first team this season
Jackson - presumably allergic to the paint used on the left touchline. Shape went when he came on

    Wilson - 6
    Taylor - 6
    Dervite - 5
    Evina - 6
    Cook - 4
    Pritchard - 4
Stephens - 8 Easily the best player on the pitch

    Stephens - 6.5
    Kerkar -6

    Morrison - 6.5
  • Button - 7 looks capable enough - dodgy kick was down to the ball bobbling just before he kicked it.
Wilson - 6 Scannell gave him a lot of problems
Taylor - 5 looked out of touch, distribution was finding their keeper too often
Dervite - 4 doesn't like balls in behind him and only himself to blame for red card
Evina - 4 too light weight in defence and had little impact going to forward
    Cook - 5 didn't contribute much
Pritchard - 6 tried hard but little effect
Stephens - 7 was passing it around well and got stuck in at times. Needs to add defence opening passes to his game
Kerkar - 4 other than free kick contributed very little
Kermorgant - 7 tried hard but never a threat on goal
Wright Phillips - 5 not really in the game
    Morrison - 6 didn't do much wrong
