  • Do they keep teams from the same country apart at this stage?

Will, of course, be supporting Valencia all the way.
  • No they could have drawn each other, I suppose Arsenal if they had gone through would have got Liverpool who they have runied in cup games this season fielding their reserves.
  • No country protection at this point.

Fancy an All English final, Liverpool to beat Valencia, United to get through, Athens to be a burning mess of a city after the final

I think Valencia can go all the way and I wouldn't write off the Italian teams. English Press will be seeing an all English final already but still some good teams in there.

At least it is interesting now and like the proper European cup was, a knock-out with no country protection or seeding.
  • if it was a liverpool v man u final, can you imagine the organisational mess in just keeping groups apart from the same flights etc
  • Any team can beat any other on the night really. Who'd have thought Liverpool would win 2-1 in Barca and Roma would go to Lyon and win 2-0?
Wouldn't rule out Bayern either now that Hitzfeld is back in charge.
Henry's right though - the English press will be talking up a Chelsea Man Utd, mourinho v Fergie final already.
  • Who have Arsenal got???
    :o)
