  • Cheers Airman, I'll be there, and I have no doubt so will many, many others to pay their respects to the great man.
  • I Shall come along.
  • Colin's niece, Pauline emailed me last week to thank the FF on the family's behalf for the Long Service award made to her uncle at last May's POTY. He was really touched & amazed at receiving it and the family was already making plans to attend together at the end of the current season.

With reference to the funeral, the family is considering donations to the Specialist Stroke Unit at Kings where Colin spent 8 days in December but I can't confirm at this stage. Also, Keith Peacock is currently setting up his teams for a 2nd Eggheaders' Quiz, to be held at BSSC, probably in March and we had already discussed donating the profits from the event to a charity of the family's choice which may also be the aforementioned hospital unit.

I'm unsure whether Keith or anyone else from the Club will be contacting Pauline but I would be happy to clarify the situation should anyone wish me to do so.
