[quote][cite]Posted By: DJ Davey Dave[/cite]My favourite 5 Bitters:-

    Shepard Neame Master Brew
    Fullers ESB
    Courage Directors
    Badgers Tanglefoot
    Adams Broadside[/quote]

I'd swap the Master Brew for a Youngs Special, but other than that you're very warm!

Master Brew is my session beer. Only 3.7ABV but incredibly tasty. You can drink 5 pints at lunchtime and still operate heavy machinery.
All the others are proper 5% plus.

[cite]Posted By: DJ Davey Dave[/cite]However a Jaffa Cake is a cake and not a biscuit.
This was proven in legal case regarding VAT on food. A Jaffa Cake holds up to the fundamental difference between the two items. i.e A cake goes hard when stale while a biscuit goes soft.

    Check out the QI regular!
    :o)

Five drinks I had on Saturday prior to Watford

    1. Guiness
    2. Batemans XXXB
    3. Stella
    4. Strongbow
    5. Snakebite
    6. Brandy (God knows what!)

Fair point. I'd probably go with an Adnams (bitter) Youngs (ordinary) or Harveys (best) for my sesh - washed down with a couple of Stellas and some white spirit!

    What's wrong with Marstons Pedigree?

I used to love drinking that in the Olde Cheshire Cheese when I worked in London.

Talking of London can you still get Davy's Old Wallop in jugs and tankards in the City Pipe?

Old Wallop is still about Leonard - still served in a tankard that looks like a crushed baked bin tin with a handle!

Nothing wrong with it Len if it's kept properly. Just not in my top 5.
Davy's still going, City Pipe, Bangers, City FOB, City Boot, The Habit etc. They do Old Wallop and Davys Ordinary. They are however Courage Directors and Best respectively.
