Last game at Watford back in 2008 was the usual disaster - lost 1-0 with Youga being sent off and as far as I can remember Racon got crocked. At least the weather was good. I hate the current Watford setup with a passion and I hate their poxy ground. Can't wait for Tuesday

I think Powell should substitute all the players before the match starts as I don't need hindsight to know that Kettle is 100% going to send them all off. The voices all around me in my head agree that Powell has to do it!
I may be alone here, but I thought Kettle had a pretty decent game today. He fell for a few of Watford's tricks (diving etc.) but on the whole put in a good shift. I liked what he did when the Watford defender went down holding his face after a little brush with Fuller, got the skipper over and told him to sort it out. Good sensible refereeing.
I must say that I think he did a decent job, I would also like to applaud the Lino for seeing Forrestieri's handball.
I think Watford on a couple of occasions may have even been treated like the boy who cried wolf but they really are terrible sports. I think they represent a lot of what is wrong with the game and it needs to be sorted.
Respect for Zola as a player but not a manager I'm afraid

Ditto re Zola, Huskaris.
But cheats never prosper...at least that's what my Gran used to say when we played cards !
Mind you I'd be surprised if he told players to throw themselves to the ground all the time given our tactics of late haven't involved that.
Maybe it was worse because of who was playing..I certainly accept FF is a cheating player and Neuton made a fool of himself.
Ah, that explains it , Super_horny.
Those lovely, shy, retiring lads in yellow were SO scared of the Mighty Addicks they just threw themselves to the ground at every opportunity to avoid any nasty physical contact by our brutes in red.
He wasn't as bad as Boyeson today, I thought, but that isn't saying much. but there was one case where Pritchard was absolutely clattered right in front of him and he waved play on. Reminded me of the Basey case.
It also puzzles me that Watford now have this reputation right across the league ( remember the Huddersfield's fan who came on here to warn us about Forestieri) but it takes more than an hour for a ref like Kettle to cotton on. Don't they talk to each other?
It's foreign players filtering down the leaques, so expect more play acting.
Because British players never dive, oh no they don't, Gareth Bale (for example) is a good honest pro who never ever drops like a brick when a defender breaths too loudly in his vicinity, definitely not.
Ref was poor yesterday. After about 75 minutes he realised they were diving, got fed up with it and started and then gave us some dodgy decisions. Except missed the dangerous two footed tackle on Cook right at the end. Cook either saw it coming or just bottled it so no contact was made. Fuller kept getting clatterd but because he stays on his feet hardly ever got a free kick. I'm not sure if this ref does actaully know what a foul is. Very poor.

To be fair to the ref the two footed tackle was right in the corner and he was 20 yards away. The lino however was less than one yard away and gave a corner. He should have helped the ref out there IMO.
I noted on their goal celebrations (in particular the 3rd) he ran straight back to the half way line and it was about a minute before our Argentinian friend joined him. After Jackson scored he hovered about 20 yards away before having a word in his ear and hurrying him back. Hey ho but at least he didn't miss any leg breaking tackles this time

I actually thought that was a very good tackle, but those with me disagreed so I may have been wrong !

Lol, MIA !
Can't remember ( played with cards made out of papyrus in those bygone days...) but I always HATED losing.
Still do !

Maybe Brighton/Forest etc have players who dive themselves though.
I think it is something that probably was brought into the english/british game by overseas players though.
Bit like with the extra levels of fitness and training methods.

Yep, Mr Trevor Kettle!!
Happy Easter everyone!!
