The Forest thing happening now is a worry. If we get rid of CP and then give the wrong man money to spend, I will despair. Look what happened last time. Plus would like to see what SCP could do with the money...
Anyone that wants Powell gone either has unrealistic expectations, no patience, or decided he wasn't good enough after his first half a season and secretly wants to be proven right.
Hopefully he's allowed to get on with his job and any money available is spent on new signings rather than a new management team.
Cannot believe it's true. It would be a more ludicrous sacking than O'Driscoll's given the board's inability to back CP in the transfer market this summer.
To sack Chris would be a mistake, in my opinion. He couldn't sign the players he wanted in the close season and is doing his best with what he has. We CAN get through this sticky patch and I hope it can be achieved with Chris at the helm.
That realmsofverse wants to give CL members a good slap. LOL from Wrexham. K Biggest collection of twats any any football forum I look at this lot, some of whom need a slap.
Please don't insult that forum as it has a lot of really considered posters who hardly ever overreact to Charlton losing. It has people on there with a great football knowledge who deserve a bit of respect.
That forum is a strange place. Seems to be one bloke acting out some kind of Charlton fantasy while others alternately praise him for his omniscience or claim he's spouting nonsense. Odd.
This, unequivocally. On footballing grounds alone a Powell sacking isn't even worth entertaining, and when you think of everything he's about and all he's given to this club, I find the (admittedly very few) posts on here and the good handful on ITV calling for him to go highly disrespectful. Get a grip you ungrateful, clueless morons.
Doubt he's gone hope not would be disastrous and we'll be in a relegation fight no doubt
Read the thread and it started before the game had ended, I've also read on there that new investors have put money in for January, then Cash is putting money up again and then January window will be funded by selling Stephens...
Too much food and too much time on people's hand. It's a shame those voices that seem the loudest are the negative ones.
If Powell goes, I'll be ashamed of calling myself a Charlton fan, if he doesn't and this is all hogwash, I'd still be ashamed to call myself a fan along side some people who generate sick rumours about a lovely man and his job. A couple of bad performances and apparently that's it. Some people are an utter joke and are too ignorant and arrogant to realise it. We're called supporters for a reason, we support. I really think things like football manager have gone to people's heads and they genuinely think because they've watched Charlton for x amount of years and taken ebbsfleet to the champions league on a computer game they know anything about football.
I think we should all take a step away from our keyboards for a few days and enjoy this period with our families and doing things in the real world that matter. That's what I think I shall do anyways.
I had the same worry after today's result that our owners and certain sections of fickle fans would lead to something terrible happening, luckily it appears to be rubbish so far, as i don't want my first trip to the Valley in 18 months to be as part of a protest with what i would hope would be many of my fellow fans.
Chrissy really is the one bright spark of hope for our club with people like Peter Varney & Rick and all the others now gone under the current owners leaving just RM in what i assume is a much more minor and semi-powerless role.
Sack Chrissy and for me the season is over until we get new owners who i hope do everything possible to bring the soul back to the club at all levels of employment and fix the mistakes already taken by our current owners.
As i support more then just the badge and the name, i support the spirit of the Charlton i grew up loving and still do as a 28 year old man.
Sorry if this is a bit long, i have had a few drinks and not read the entire thread.

If it is true, then I would just like to thank the board for ruining my day.
Off to seek out the truth.

If it isn't I will personally have a 48 hour hunger strike protest outside the Valley, and I don't even know if I'm joking
Night.
